ThurmastonFox Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 Was there something in the loan deal which meant he had to play in a percentage of matches? Seemed a strange choice to bring several times this season
Kitchandro Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 Dreadful player. No idea how he got a 4 year contract at Spurs. And Wood was again no better.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 Can we stop being fickle for a second here please. Many people including myself were calling him to start today's match.
HankMarvin Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 Control is awful, looks like he cant be bothered to jump most of the time
Aus Fox Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 Looked good when played as a forward. Didn't do a lot today but will now go back to spurs don't think there is any deal
ADK Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 His first touch is absolutely dogshit, he's slow, he can't head the ball, his free kick was the worst of the lot. If i was Waghorn or Vardy i'd be livid.
Jace Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 At least we have seen the end of him now after seeing Pearsons face after that free kick was taken I don't think he will want to be renewing his loan
Guest Col city fan Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 No idea why we signed Kane? As I said the first time I saw him play. Bizarre decision.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 People will say this is ridiculous but he is one of the worst players i have ever seen in a LCFC shirt. Pitiful. Why he came on i don't know.
Kitchandro Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 Can we stop being fickle for a second here please. Many people including myself were calling him to start today's match. Only because Wood was so fvcking awful and he was better on Thursday. Kane has been shit most of the time since he arrived, never in a million years would I want to see him here again.
burleighfox Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 The free kick he took would've a few down the tigers a bit embarrassed.
The Guvnor Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 Wood was doing exactly what he should challenging, hassling,he is strong and can hold up the ball, then on walks Harry Kane?
HankMarvin Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 Dreadful player. No idea how he got a 4 year contract at Spurs. And Wood was again no better. Wood doesn't seem to be get a lot of service from crosses from the wings, just hoofball from defence and central midfeid
AS78UK Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 Can see why Wood looks so pissed when he keeps being taken off for him. Looked poor and not for the first time this season.
shade Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 am I wrong in thinking he had come on as a sub in EVERY game since he's been here?
LanguedocFox Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 Couldn't see the sense in bring Kane on for Wood. Konch on for Schlupp would have made more sense. Then again, that is why I am a world-famous novelist (!) rather than a football manager.
Carl the Llama Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 Well considering the difference he made on Thursday, I thought it was a good change to make.
49er Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 Wood was doing exactly what he should challenging, hassling,he is strong and can hold up the ball, then on walks Harry Kane? He was effectively playing up front on his own, and overall did well. He was always going to be a better bet to score than Kane.
Kitchandro Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 Wood was doing exactly what he should challenging, hassling,he is strong and can hold up the ball, then on walks Harry Kane? Wood was being a weakling as usual, very half-hearted attempts to hold onto the ball. Kane was even worse though.
kingfox Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 Glad to see the back of him now, he played well on a couple of occasions, especially against Blackburn, did well against Watford on Thursday, but apart from that he has been shit. Good luck to him wherever he goes next, more than likely League 1.
fazzyfox Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 Don't you just know he'll be loaned to another championship side next season and score against us and look a class act.
The Guvnor Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 Wood was doing exactly what he should challenging, hassling,he is strong and can hold up the ball, then on walks Harry Kane? Wood was being a weakling as usual, very half-hearted attempts to hold onto the ball. Kane was even worse though. Wood has not been brilliant since the Bristol away match, but he was always going to be more effective as a lone striker than Kane IMO.
Kitchandro Posted 12 May 2013 Posted 12 May 2013 Wood has not been brilliant since the Bristol away match, but he was always going to be more effective as a lone striker than Kane IMO. He wasn't on Thursday though. I'm convinced Wood is not himself at the moment, whereas I just think Kane is crap.
