Leicfox Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 It's not true, Ince is staying. Bring on the protests. Protests to get the manager sacked? Ince is no tactical genius granted but surely his hands are somewhat tied if the chairman won't invest.

deejdeej Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 That sheff weds thread had me in stitches, quality stuff!
Unabomber Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 I like wednesday, they are my second favourite team in the league.
VinceNoir Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 Haha, the Wednesday thread is brilliant. Mario one is my favourite!
sphericalfox Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 http://www.owlstalk.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic/207353-leeds-players-collinding-into-each-other/ There is some serious quality in that thread!
Fox92 Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 I hope Freedman gets the sack, he deserves it for being a moron. Leaving Palace was an absolute arsehole of a decision, I thought so at the time and it's been proved right now. Palace fans loved him as well. It just beggars belief, it can only be that he thought recently being in the Prem was a massive plus. Which is pathetic short-termism. And add to that he's stupid enough to take Mills, Beckford and Danns off us. What an utter cretin, he's done us some favours but I've no sympathy with him. You can't just base it on the fact he moved clubs directly. There could be background stuff that we don't know about. I like Freedman. And he is honest. When we beat them, he said they were beaten by the far better team. Unlike other managers who make an excuse, especially Sean Dyche. Hope he turns Bolton around.

I like Freedman as well, seems a decent bloke and one who doesn't moan and makes excuses when his team lose. I'm not surprised Kitchandro doesn't like him he's one of the most depressing and downbeat posters on here.
One Legged Beaver Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 That Wednesday thread reminds me of this Diouf compilation I saw a while ago

I am flattered you pretend you follow my posting history though. Can't say I pay much attention to you usually. But I suppose that's because you're not very interesting. Though I am interested to know what makes you think Freedman was such a clever guy for taking the Bolton job. Because all the facts right now make me look right and you a bit silly. Like here's an interesting fact: When Leicester beat Palace 3-0 in Pearson's first game back Freedman said 'we could have won 3-0'. What an honest, humble fella. Night, whoever you are.
Sydney Fox Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 That Owls thread is hysterical. Should not have watched that in the office
JonnyBoy Posted 20 January 2014 Posted 20 January 2014 my housemate works part time at kfc in nottingham and always serves Andy Reid, he has a fillet burger meal (plain) and an order of popcorn chicken. If he comes in before our game i'll tell him to undercook the chicken
Dan Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Sticking with my pre-season prediction of Blackpool to go down
One Legged Beaver Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Sticking with my pre-season prediction of Blackpool to go down How they got 16 points from 18 at the beginning of the season is beyond me

Like I said, you don't know Freedman, you don't know the background information behind his move. We only see a manager move from club A to club B. He turned Bolton around last year and was unlucky not to make the play offs. I personally expected them to be around the top 6 again this season but they're not. But that doesn't indicate anything for the future... Pardew did well in his first full season as Newcastle manager, nearly ended up in a relegation battle last season and is now doing a decent job again. And why's it making him look silly and you look right? It's easy to say he shouldn't have moved when they are 18th.
Dan Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 But it really was a bad move. Bolton are an accident waiting to happen if their financial status is true. You couldn't even say it was a short-termist move because in the short-term it was a step down and in the long-term I think it will prove to be one too. One of the most bizarre moves I've seen to be honest.
ealingfox Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Since beating QPR 2-0 on the 26th Oct, Burnley have only won four of their fifteen games in all competitions, and are still only 6 points behind us. Either they are falling away a bit or they are going through the obligatory Championship bad run, meaning they will finish the season strongly. Dyche reckons they're a force in the Championship and tbf you can see why, they've only lost 3 times in the league all season, looked very hard-to-beat when we played them.

That's why there's still a long way to go before we can think about promotion. We've won 6 on the spin and we're only a crap run ourselves from playing catch up with the top two again. If we win another 6 on the spin then we might just have a decent enough lead to hold on to.
surrifox Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Millwall have signed D J Campbell until the end of the season . Could be a shrewd signing think he will do well there under Holloway- we have played them twice so don't mind if improve enough so they damage our promotion rivals' prospects when they visit the Den
deanolegend1989 Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Most people seem to think Burnley will slip away or they just rely on Ings. Tbh they have been fairly impressive this season. You dont only lose 3 and be unbeaten at home to this point by being a flash in the pan or by having just a good strike partnership. Blackpool is an example of a flash in the pan..They are solid all over the park, maybe drawn 1 or 2 too many at home but maybe because they dont create as much as someone like us(better midfield and wingers..they dont have a dyer or knocky). They are a good team though and IMO we wont go up if we have a hiccup and scrambe through, we will have to keep us our current form roughly to get over the line.
Langston Posted 21 January 2014 Posted 21 January 2014 Campbell is an enigma. One of the most inept strikers I've seen play for us, yet his goal return at most clubs (including plenty at this level) is actually fairly steady. No doubt he'll bag a few at Millwall and keep them up, shame really as the possible double whammy of both them and Holloway suffering relegation gets my tip wet.
