jock2612 Posted 7 June 2013 Posted 7 June 2013 Sky say that Prem clubs are after Guedioura from Forest, does anyone think this will promt them to put a bid in for King.OR is it true they are talking to Danns? I hopr it is Danns although I quite liked him and have a mate who thought he did well at HFC while on loan!
Banks Posted 7 June 2013 Posted 7 June 2013 Are you saying Forest will go for King? He wouldn't join them anyway...
Adster Posted 7 June 2013 Posted 7 June 2013 Are you saying Forest will go for King? He wouldn't join them anyway... I'm pretty sure that's what Forest fans would've thought about Morgan before he joined us.
Narborough_fox Posted 7 June 2013 Posted 7 June 2013 Anyone see this on the Mirror yesterday? Saying how Kingy (and Kasper) are some of the Championship players that Premier League teams should be looking at. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/transfer-news-ten-championship-stars-1936028?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
Fox42 Posted 7 June 2013 Posted 7 June 2013 Andy King "could replicate Gylfi Sigurdsson's success at Swansea." Wow.
Daz93 Posted 7 June 2013 Posted 7 June 2013 Will Hughes is not worth £15m Neither is Zaha. It seems being English doubles the amount you are worth. I love how on that list Kasper, the Championship's best goalkeeper, is rated at a fee of £2-3m yet Charlie Austin is worth £7m. Eh?

Seems to be the way with transfers, however much a top quality goalkeeper can be a match saver and worth their weight in gold

Eh? a) Kasper isn't English b) He's in the last year of his contract c) Neuer cost Bayern €22million and he's the best keeper in the world at the minute.

I suppose it does make sense, I guess it's just from a City fan's point of view that it seems a harsh price. Great goalkeepers are hard to come by and he's the best we've had in a long while so it would just be sad to see him leave. And I guess we would recoup more than double what we paid for him. But anyway, I hope he stays, along with Kingy.
Kitchandro Posted 7 June 2013 Posted 7 June 2013 I'm pretty sure that's what Forest fans would've thought about Morgan before he joined us. Forest were in a relegation fight that season though, and he wasn't in the first team. It would be a step down for King to go there. Besides, why would he want to go there when he's almost guaranteed a goal when he plays them?
Happy Fox Posted 10 June 2013 Posted 10 June 2013 http://www.thisisnottingham.co.uk/story-19240276-detail/story.html?#axzz2VnP8Wilz BILLY Davies is working to ensure his Nottingham Forest midfield boasts plenty of attacking threat again next season – with the Reds the latest team to show an interest in Leicester City midfielder Andy King. King, 24, scored seven goals last season and four the year before – but was more prolific in 2010/11 when he fired 17 in all competitions, putting him on the radar of many Premier League teams. Several clubs, including Forest, are understood to have sounded out Leicester about King's availability. But, while his scoring form has dipped slightly in the last two seasons, Nigel Pearson still regards him as being an integral figure for the Foxes and would not be tempted to do business unless a significant offer was made for the Welshman.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 10 June 2013 Posted 10 June 2013 the most ridiculous piece of transfer shit thus far? As if king would move to them if he moved anywhere. Transfer talk is bloody boring. Bring on Aug 3rd
nickyboy Posted 10 June 2013 Posted 10 June 2013 What a piece of non journalism, basically it is saying Davis is a fan of King, the fact the last bit states we won't let him go unless its a substantial offer shows that Florest can't afford him anyway Seriously bring on the new season!! This is just annoying now with crap rumours, haha, but I know papers have to fill column inches though
Fox92 Posted 10 June 2013 Posted 10 June 2013 Sideways move really. If he was to leave, surely it would be for a PL side.
LCFC FOX Posted 10 June 2013 Posted 10 June 2013 Will never happen unless they offer something like 5-7 million. King loves it here and is a fans favourite so why would he lose the respect to move to our rivals? When Leicester (apart from the debt) are in a better position that Forest. We have a younger talented squad with a manager who builds. Will only move tothe premier league. Forest will be a down step move.
Harry - LCFC Posted 10 June 2013 Posted 10 June 2013 I'm pretty sure that's what Forest fans would've thought about Morgan before he joined us. The difference is that for Wes that was a forward move at the time, they were shit and we were less shit. This is very much a sideways move, we're both at roughly the same place so why move? King loves Leicester, he's well established and popular.
Wymsey Posted 10 June 2013 Posted 10 June 2013 If he goes to that particular club then I've lost my respect for him; heard him a few times in the past saying that he wants to carry on playing for us, and I don't think that will change tbh.
