Happy Fox Posted 19 May 2013 Posted 19 May 2013 Would be disappointed if King goes, his partnership with James looks very promising if he does go we would need 2 central midfielders as Wellens and Danns are going to be surplus to requirements.
fleckneymike Posted 19 May 2013 Posted 19 May 2013 Has been my favourite City player every season since the league 1 campaign.
sdb Posted 19 May 2013 Posted 19 May 2013 if a Prem team comes in and offers £4/5 mill then great. otherwise, keep him here.
VLC86 Posted 19 May 2013 Posted 19 May 2013 looks like were rebuilding without King , things are looking up Do you genuinely watch us or are you just jumping on the King does nothing band wagon? It's pretty evident that when on form King is one of the best and all round centre mids in the league. Ok, in some games might not score and seam to make an impact but watch him. His reading of the game is excellent and he does the simple stuff well
bmt Posted 19 May 2013 Posted 19 May 2013 For me we have to hold on to King, his partnership with James will be integral against the good teams next season where we need to keep it tight in the middle. Would rather lose Drinkwater; King does the breaking down better and can still pick a good pass (and can score). Wouldn't mind another creative CM coming in too though, we sometimes lack something away from home in that department (I would be tempted to drop a striker and put 3 in the centre of midfield).
foxfanazer Posted 21 May 2013 Posted 21 May 2013 Hope there's nothing in this! King and James could be a great partnership for us next season as they have shown recently
FoxLAD Posted 21 May 2013 Posted 21 May 2013 Moving if he Moves to QPR then its only for money and will no doubt he'll just sit on the bench for them. him and james/Drinkwater are making a fantastic partnership. only sell for an over the price!
Dan Posted 21 May 2013 Posted 21 May 2013 that won 3 in 17 True. Sell every one of them I say, imagine if someone actually offered us money for one of them
john ridley Posted 21 May 2013 Posted 21 May 2013 who would we have then for the many faces of...........................
Asherz Posted 21 May 2013 Posted 21 May 2013 I know for a fact that if Reading came in for him, he'd want to go. Coz he was born sround that area iirc
Bayfox Posted 21 May 2013 Posted 21 May 2013 Coz he was born sround that area iirc Nope he was born in barnstaple. Which when i last looked was in devon.

His reading of the game is excellent and he does the simple stuff well Believe me I've watched him loadsa times and whatever you say,for the all the qualities that he undoubtedly has, he does go missing. More so than our other midfielders. I would expect all professional players to do the simple stuff well as simple means easy. He was our best player against Watford away mind so he has got it in him. Sometimes he just looks and plays like he's running on empty. As people have pointed out, it might be the formation we play that doesn't help him. Midfield is certainly an area that needs attention and perhaps the signing of a more dynamic defensive midfielder might help king be more consistent and more the goal threat ( which up until 2 years ago was his major attribute)
samgrizz1884 Posted 24 May 2013 Posted 24 May 2013 Andy King is the marmite player, I think he played ok in both the Watford legs but I don't think he has recaptured his form pre injury last season.he needs to be put back in CAM like he use to when he was banging in 14+ goals and he'll get the recognition like he use to
ian the fox Posted 25 May 2013 Posted 25 May 2013 we need 6 new players to challenge Wigan & Reading for the top 2 spots , i like King & Dyer but they aint quality enough to get us straight up , :::: Imo ;;;;;;

MC Prussian Posted 31 May 2013 Posted 31 May 2013 Andy King is a much higher calibre than Dyer. They play in different positions and thus have different objectives during a match. I wouldn't be so harsh on Dyer - he is a very effective player to have in hand and King has done a terrific defensive job this season (thus sometimes slipping underneath the radar oftentimes). Make him captain again I'll second that - he's earned it.
AKCJ Posted 31 May 2013 Posted 31 May 2013 I'll second that - he's earned it. Wes doesn't deserve to lose it.
Guest Bilo Posted 31 May 2013 Posted 31 May 2013 Agree Wes doesn't deserve to lose the captaincy, player of the season for me. If Kasper leaves, give Kingy the vice-captaincy.
MC Prussian Posted 31 May 2013 Posted 31 May 2013 Wes doesn't deserve to lose it. Alright, but at least make him vice-captain.
FrankieWorthoYaggedMyWife Posted 31 May 2013 Posted 31 May 2013 If King can rediscover his goal scoring boots and bag double figures again next season I will wank him off in the centre circle during Birch's end of season run

I'm not doubting Dyer's effectiveness but in terms of ability, Andy King is much better. I'll second that - he's earned it.
