Jakemoore Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 Is anyone else just lost for ideas of how to get over Sunday? I try and keep my mind off it but no matter what I see troy deeney ripping the net or Knocky fluffing his lines. I just can't get over it I think i need a play - off helpline, someone to talk to just to help me through, oh deary me, it's just football
Jakemoore Posted 14 May 2013 Author Posted 14 May 2013 Well, I'm not obsessed with it, it's not consuming my every thought but I can't get it through my head how we lost it the way we did, it's still hurting
The Horse's Mouth Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 It's gonna take a while to get over for everyone. I guess just looking on for next season is the only way.

deejdeej Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 I get over these things pretty quickly nowadays. Not that I don't care or love my club, but its not like the club have gone under or anything like that, there's always next season. Until then I'm going to try and forget all about football!
Soar Fox Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 I'm just getting over it now. At work on Monday I hardly spoke to anyone the blokes I worked with genuinely thought something had happened to a family member. I had about 4 people who said "it's only a game" but then they do claim to be Man Utd fans so they don't know what it feels like to feel genuine emotion for their club.
dmayne7 Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 Maybe I have issues but I was over it very quickly and didn't shed a single tear. Maybe its because I was happy just to be in the playoffs or maybe I just knew that this kind of thing was bound to happen to us
Brooksy Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 I'm alright now but I'll never be able to bring myself to watch it.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 Think in all honesty it was only what we deserved as we had only scraped in the play offs after not deserving to for the last 18 games of the season
Tom17LCFC Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 Only just getting over it. It sounds ridiculously sad but non-football fanatics wouldn't understand. Just looking ahead to the new season and the transfer window opening!
LestaFox92 Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 Sort of getting over it cant watch any football tho we've fallen out at the mo! Deffiently wont ever be watching those fatal 60 seconds again either bad enough just seeing the pictures
dayday Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 As i have got older it has been easier to take...l suppose you get use to dissapointment.
Simmo86 Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 I stuggled at work on Monday but yesterday I just watch every Youtube video going of Sunday and now I feel slightly better. Need a break for football though. Horse racing, Golf and Cricket for me now.
Foxhateram Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 This happened and then I played football in the evening and my mate broke his ankle. It is fair to say me and football are currently arguing like a married couple in my head. I cried, a lot Sunday so many hopes and dreams slashed in 30 seconds of what I can only describe as torture. It's like the footballing gods have it in for us. It's just not meant to be.
wurmer Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 Turn the pain around and use it try to get enthusiastic about next season - we're gonna walk the league you know! Repeat that about a billion times, and you'll be fine.
Bert Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 Slowly getting over it. The pain of it all will last long in the memory though. My main concern is that by the start of August, the players have got it out of their system.
KFS Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 I was in an exam yesterday and Knocky picking up the ball flashed across my mind. HMMMM

Can go two ways though, hopefully it will make them more determined for next season.
FoxesAreBlue Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 Think in all honesty it was only what we deserved as we had only scraped in the play offs after not deserving to for the last 18 games of the season But over the last 46 games of the season we did deserve it. No team below us did though.
Guest Col city fan Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 Slowly getting over it. The pain of it all will last long in the memory though. My main concern is that by the start of August, the players have got it out of their system. Course they would have done. So would you mate I would suspect. Couple of months you'll be raring to go again..

Before you know it, the new season will be here!
Loggy88 Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 It still hurts but I think once the new fixtures are released il just be thinking about the new season, new chance.
Ricey Posted 15 May 2013 Posted 15 May 2013 I still have flashbacks of the moment the ref pointed to the spot and the feeling of 'christ, we are actually going to do this!' I'll feel better tomorrow once I've scored the winning penalty, at the same end, in my works football tournament at Vicarage Road. I won't put it low, weak and down the middle I can assure you of that.
