Jimothy Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 Just checking out the remaining fixtures. Anyone who thinks Everton will take 4th, even if they beat Arsenal, is mad. Arsenal have a run in including WBA, Newcastle and Hull, while Everton still have Man City, Man Utd and Southampton to play away. Can see Arsenal winning nearly all their remaining games after Everton, there's noway Everton will win all theirs.
ScouseFox Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 city's record at everton is shocking and i think everton have only dropped about 9 or 10 points at home in their last 20 odd matches. they rarely do anything other than win at goodison. i think arsenal will just about get 4th, but everton win their game in hand and beat arsenal (both very likely imo) and they go 2pts ahead. think we may well see familiar arsenal 4th place celebrations when they hang on by the skin of their teeth come the last day. difference this time is they will also have an fa cup in the bag, too.

All true, but I think a City gunning got the title will be too much for them. Also Soton away will be very difficult. Arsenal's run in is a stroll in the park. There's three things certain in life. Death, taxes and that by hook or by crook Wenger will get Arsenal into the top 4.
Captain... Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 I had to live through the 70s and 80s when Liverpool won everything and it was boring boring boring, would hate to go back to those times It is hardly going to be a return to those days, Liverpool have their chance because of one outstanding player and some very good players having outstanding seasons, whilst other clubs are going through a period of transition, united are struggling under a new manager, they'll be back, Man City dropped a lot of points early on while they found their feet under their new manager, to a lesser extent Chelsea, but it has still been a transitional season for them and they will be stronger next season, whilst Arsenal are doing their best to blow it again. This is why last summer I said Spurs should do everything to keep Bale, one outstanding player in this season of transition at the top could really make the difference, instead they tried to replace the irreplaceable with 5 crap over priced signings. Fair play to Liverpool, they have built a side under Rodgers, given him time backed their players, even when it hasn't always been easy, and now they are seeing the rewards. Personally I hope they win it this season.
Dan Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 Does Kabouls pass into his own net count as one of them? I love seeing Spurs fail. Despise them, their team, their managers in recent years and their fans. FACK OFF YA NAMBA MAGS I've got an irrational disliking for Spurs and I can't put my finger on why.

I'd go as far as saying the wastage has so far been even worse than Dalglish/Comolli's spending spree at Liverpool. What do they even have to show for that money? Liverpool's success isn't a fluke. They have a manager who sticks to a successful style of playing the game. I really don't think they'll tail off completely next year either although with European games as well, they won't be quite as strong in the league. Rather Liverpool won it than Man City/Chelsea anyway.
Bobby Hundreds Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 There's three things certain in life. Death, taxes and that by hook or by crook Wenger will get Arsenal into the top 4. If Moyes wasn't doing so badly at United, maybe there would be a huge media inquest into how Arsenal have had another horrendous collapse in Feb/March.
The Blur Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 I actually disagree with the theory that Spurs signed medicore players- all players were a hit at their previous clubs. They just haven't been properly managed and played in their best roles. Eriksen on left, Soldado being isolated up the front earlier in the season etc.

The Blur Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 Capoue and Chadli were terrible buys Agreed re Capoue, I forgot about him! Shame about Chadli- He got a rate of a goal per 3 matches for FC Twente apparently.
MC Prussian Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 Agreed re Capoue, I forgot about him! Most talent leaves the Eredivisie way too early.
Nick Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 Looking at the run-in and the final games left for the bottom three teams, Fulham certainly have the better chance of staying up despite being rock bottom, the other two have top 6 teams to play, some in abundance!

Have you seen Norwich's run-in though?! Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea & Arsenal as their final 4. They're gonna go down I think.
AjcW Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 Anyone watching West Ham v Sunderland? Carroll has just scored early doors Vergini is playing again lol Got the makings of a good game, always like watching these "lower billing" PL games
Leicesterpool Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 I do wonder if Sam Allardyce wasn't a northerner he'd get the same amount of stick he gets now from the west ham fans?
Unabomber Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 I wonder do if Sam Allardyce wasn't a northerner he'd get the same amount of stick he gets now from the west ham fans?

leicesterisme Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 Said it so many times but this game proves again why we have nothing to fear next season.

Craig Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 Dudley, northern England. Ridiculous comment from the Villa fan.
Leicesterpool Posted 31 March 2014 Posted 31 March 2014 Dudley, northern England. Ridiculous comment from the Villa fan. I meant it from a point of view from a west ham fan. To them the north starts at Watford!
