Joey Jones, Conor Brennan, Steven Smith, Karlton Watson and Jide Maduako have not been offered extensions to their current deals, which expire on June 30. The Club has started negotiations with goalkeeper Conrad Logan with a view to extending his current contract, which is also due to expire at the end of June. Jide knew a while back, as he mentioned it on his twitter. Round about 2/3 weeks ago, so I'd say this isn't news to those who are not being renewed.
Fox92 Posted 31 May 2013 Posted 31 May 2013 We should just give Logan a 10 year contract. Would save us going through 'Logan new contract?' every season!
sphericalfox Posted 31 May 2013 Posted 31 May 2013 No news on Conor Clifford still then? suppose it depends if he likes Nandos or not.
Munshi Posted 31 May 2013 Posted 31 May 2013 Conrad Logan must have a well cushy life... Unless he's on a 'Pay when you play' contract
suffolk fox Posted 31 May 2013 Posted 31 May 2013 Says it all when conrad logan is to be offered another contract, really what does he do? pray to god when kasper goes he is not going to be our first choice goalie perish the thought.
Lambert09 Posted 31 May 2013 Posted 31 May 2013 Says it all when conrad logan is to be offered another contract, really what does he do? pray to god when kasper goes he is not going to be our first choice goalie perish the thought. What he does is sit on the bench without making a fuss. Which is what we need. You cant have 2 keepers that want to play first team football all the time its bad for moral. The only reason he did nothing all season is because we were lucky enough to not get an injury or suspension for Kasper. Some people will complain about anything... do you not understand that football is a squad game?
GingerrrFox Posted 31 May 2013 Posted 31 May 2013 Surprised that Joey Jones has been released thought they might have given him another year to prove himself. Fall from grace after leaving Arsenal.
sphericalfox Posted 31 May 2013 Posted 31 May 2013 No news on Conor Clifford still then? I've asked him on twitter. I doubt he'll respond.
Long Eaton Fox Posted 31 May 2013 Posted 31 May 2013 Joey Jones just had a trial with Brentford - they didn't want him either.
johnny the fox Posted 31 May 2013 Posted 31 May 2013 Conrad Logan must have a well cushy life... He still has the negatives..
Soar Fox Posted 31 May 2013 Posted 31 May 2013 Logan must be due a testimonial soon. Saying that he'd probably be on the bench for it.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 31 May 2013 Posted 31 May 2013 Only one reason I like Logan is that when he is announced at games at the KP, the picture of him on the screen makes him look like an OAP
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 31 May 2013 Posted 31 May 2013 Logan clearly has the right attitude for the position he has in the club. Someone who is hard working, consistant, professional and yet willing to be a bench/squad player week in week out. We should appreciate him for this, not everyone can be the first choice.
GingerrrFox Posted 31 May 2013 Posted 31 May 2013 Not being funny but James Pearson was ShitHouse for the Under 21s and then was injured for the best part of 3 months. Still new contract though, good times when your dad is the boss.
