marko Posted 4 June 2013 Posted 4 June 2013 This seems very much at odds with the Watford fans that were telling us they were all coming back on frees to circumnavigate the new loan proposals. http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/matej-vydra-setting-his-sights-on-a-place-in-the-premier-league-8643452.html

The team is going to be ripped apart over the summer, and to bed in new players might be difficult. It will be good to play them early.
Guest Bilo Posted 4 June 2013 Posted 4 June 2013 lol Never have a set of fans deserved to see a team dismantled more than the arrogant cocks we've seen over the past few weeks. Mid table beckons, know your place.
Harry - LCFC Posted 4 June 2013 Posted 4 June 2013 Feels good having my hatred for Watford satisfied by this news.
Guest Bilo Posted 4 June 2013 Posted 4 June 2013 Brilliantly, he's unlikely to be the last either reading that. Battochio, Abdi and Chalobah probably won't fancy returning either.
Fox92 Posted 4 June 2013 Posted 4 June 2013 Well I can understand that if Fulham, Spurs and Arsenal are after him.
ScouseFox Posted 4 June 2013 Posted 4 June 2013 I've generally avoided all our bitter Watford threads which a lot of them were bragging and a lot of us were crying like babies in, but did they really think they'd get to keep all their loan players? And not just that but get given them for FREE?! Mental.
Bert Posted 4 June 2013 Posted 4 June 2013 Hang on, I thought the Watford fans said all their loanees were staying on?!

Guest Bilo Posted 4 June 2013 Posted 4 June 2013 Hang on, I thought the Watford fans said all their loanees were staying on?! I propose this as the new name for this thread as more players inevitably refuse to return to Vicarage Road.
dog_4 Posted 4 June 2013 Posted 4 June 2013 i didn't rate him when i saw him live twice! bit lightweight and go found out a little! I don't think he would score many in the prem! Maybe 5 to 10!
Super_horns Posted 4 June 2013 Posted 4 June 2013 Missed the game when he got 2 goals though? True he did go 11 games without scoring... Anyway TBH I think of all the loan players people are expected Vydra to be the least likely of those we'd want to sign on - his agent has been the one making the most noises about moving elsewhere but its not up to him. If the Pozzos want to keep the bloke at Udinese then tough really..i know its the usual player power though with the agent looking to make some money. Spurs have been linked to about 5 strikers already and I am not sure Fulham would pay the sort of money Udinese might want...

Not all but we will try to get the ones based from Udinese and Granada for some sort of fee (and a number have said they would be keen to sign/stay) Maybe not on massive 5 year contracts like Fernando Forestieri I accept and that is risky anyway but its not as if they've suggested there is no chance or they hated it here. Chalobah is from Chelsea - we knew he was going back which is a shame as Abdi and him were the key to much of our success - more so than Vydra himself maybe.
aefevans Posted 4 June 2013 Posted 4 June 2013 Honestly, are you still bothered about losing to us in the play-offs? I'm over us losing in the final, and that was a week ago. Anyway, the plan was for the players to sign permanently in the first instance, but as the takeover went through so soon before there was no time to scout and sign, hence getting a load of players on loan and being told to play whichever ones suited. Second of all, a bit of harmless research on sites such as Twitter will show that players such as Pudil, Anya, Abdi and Battocchio would be (in their own words) happy to stay at Watford. It wouldn't hurt if some of you guys had a crack at that. Thirdly, a lot of this is agent talk. A couple of days ago, Vydra's agent said that he'd probably stay at Watford. Fourthly, who can deny a player a slot in the Premier League? Remember, nobody knew who Vydra was this time last year, so it didn't seem that remarkable that we were getting him. Fifthly, for those of you who question us getting these players on free transfers, why wouldn't we? We're both owned by the same guy and it's not going to take him long to negotiate deals with himself. It is within his best interests that Watford become as profitable as possible. He's been doing this since 1986. Finally, for God's sake, get over it. Not even I carp on about running on the pitch and hurdling over Knockaert any more. If you're finding it difficult to do so, I know a couple of good therapists.
