Captain... Posted 4 August 2013 Posted 4 August 2013 Lets get Lyon his ton, 6 needed, loved seeing swann hit him for 6, gutted he got a wicket, would have loved him not to get a wicket and be smacked for 6 by all and sundry.
Super_horns Posted 4 August 2013 Posted 4 August 2013 More DRS issues! Going to be a draw which is good enough I guess.
Corky Posted 4 August 2013 Posted 4 August 2013 Raining now, Aussies 292 ahead, just had a comical run out. Anything under 350 is gettable.
Matt Posted 4 August 2013 Posted 4 August 2013 I reckon we have half a chance at this rate, thing is weather and time is against us, that will probably be our downfall. Done well to be in this position.
Matt Posted 4 August 2013 Posted 4 August 2013 Bad light?...fook off. Tis abit dull, dark, gloomy and grey tbf. Why they can't just turn the floodlights on is another thing thought.

Matt Posted 4 August 2013 Posted 4 August 2013 lights are on. Fair enough, i'm not really watching, got the Derby match on one stream, Cricket on another, when I saw your post I flicked over to the cricket and they'd just put the camera's down on the wicket and you could see how dark and gloomy it was.

Matt Posted 4 August 2013 Posted 4 August 2013 batsmen are happy to carry on, lights are on, not even 5pm and the umpires Great British summer wants to ruin everyones day. It's raining now.
purpleronnie Posted 4 August 2013 Posted 4 August 2013 It's raining now. At least thats a genuine reason to go off.
Corky Posted 4 August 2013 Posted 4 August 2013 Great stuff, Oliver Holt can now write an article on how we've restored sportsmanship to the game.
Matt Posted 4 August 2013 Posted 4 August 2013 Great stuff, Oliver Holt can now write an article on how we've restored sportsmanship to the game. The Guardian have beaten him to it; Sportsmanship latestIn the morning Chris Broad and Graeme Swann both walked before they were given out, suggesting that after all the controversy England were considering taking a stand for the spirit of cricket. Perhaps this is what they were so busy debating between every other delivery as they later sent the over rate spiralling to surreal depths. http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2013/aug/04/yesterday-at-old-trafford-steve-smith
Corky Posted 4 August 2013 Posted 4 August 2013 The Guardian have beaten him to it; http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2013/aug/04/yesterday-at-old-trafford-steve-smith Would've been even better if they discussed Stuart Broad instead of Chris.
Matt Posted 4 August 2013 Posted 4 August 2013 Would've been even better if they discussed Stuart Broad instead of Chris. Gotta say even though i've read it, copied and pasted it, I hadn't picked up on it! Great Stuff.
Voll Blau Posted 4 August 2013 Posted 4 August 2013 Absolutely buzzing for tomorrow. Should be in the Bishop Blaize for 10. Can't see the weather holding but really hope it does. If we get a full day's play in I'll most likely be on Preston station just after the final whistle in the PNE-Blackpool game. Could be interesting...
theessexfox Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 Damn rain looks like spoiling our whitewash hopes
ScouseFox Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 No chance there'll be any play today if weather in Manc's like it is in Liverpool. Pissing it down and dark.
purpleronnie Posted 5 August 2013 Posted 5 August 2013 guess I was right we're terrible under pressure. C'mon rain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
