Stadt Posted 16 July 2014 Posted 16 July 2014 Just finished my first season as Portsmouth. The World Cup has been won by Paraguay with Jermain Defoe picking up the Golden Boot! Crazy! Not as crazy as the World Cup on my save.England beat Germany 4-0 in the final.
Narborough_fox Posted 16 July 2014 Posted 16 July 2014 For the second time in two years I've missed out on the Eredivisie on the last day to Ajax! Managed to secure a Champions League spot though so Go Ahead Eagles are on the march.
General Smuts Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Watching this Blackpool shenanigans makes me yearn for an option or a challenge on FM that you only have youth players available and have to build a first team squad before the season starts. Available in FMC rather than me having to set up a new database and play it on the ****ing long ass standard mode before getting bored after 5 minutes because I don't have 3 years to play pre-season. Ricey - hook a brother up!
Finnegan Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Can you not edit the database for FMC? Does it run off a different database? It'd pretty easy to make yourself.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 I could never have a squad as big as that Dundee one peterborofox posted. I have 20 players tops
General Smuts Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Can you not edit the database for FMC? Does it run off a different database? It'd pretty easy to make yourself. Nope you can't chose a database at the start of a new FMC game. Other than the update obviously.
Narborough_fox Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Made it to the group stages of the Champions League with Go Ahead Eagles in the 4th season. Started the league season with 5 wins out of 6 which leaves me at the top of the table ahead of Ajax. Beat Rubin Kazan (5-4 agg) and then Freiburg (5-2 agg) to reach the group stages of Champions League. Group for the Champions League is Chelsea, Zenit and Celtic. Hoping to get the Europa League.
Beliall Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 I could never have a squad as big as that Dundee one peterborofox posted. I have 20 players tops i like to start like that, have no more players than necessary, so i dont have to scroll to view them, but i always end up doing an 'Arry
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 I could never have a squad as big as that Dundee one peterborofox posted. I have 20 players tops Well i have to have a bigish squad really for the european campaign. For example i have just played St Johnstone then have to play Ajax two days later its a killer on the squad fitness. And besides a lot of them are youngsters on minimal money
Fox92 Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Went on a ridiculous run after Christmas. Won about 90% of my games, including against Chelsea and Manchester United. Ended up finishing 13th, which is quite decent given my poor start to the season. Highlighted by my 71 goals conceded. Anyway, that was my tenth season as manager of Leicester (two relegations, two promotions, a trip in Europe and an FA Cup final victory)... Fancy resigning and taking on a new challenge but not sure what to do. Built up a great squad at Leicester but I'm just bored now.
Dan Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 If I can't win the league with Anderlecht then I might just end it all.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 19 July 2014 Posted 19 July 2014 Just beat Rangers 12-11 on pens! players obviously took two pens!
Ziggy1990 Posted 21 July 2014 Posted 21 July 2014 Always happens with him. He's ended up with the Arsenal on mine before. Madness
DB11 Posted 22 July 2014 Posted 22 July 2014 Am I missing something here! What is life He's always a player in demand at the start. In my two games he's signed for Man City and Liverpool
foxfanazer Posted 22 July 2014 Posted 22 July 2014 Does anybody play this on Kindle or anything like that? If so is it any good?
Samilktray Posted 27 July 2014 Posted 27 July 2014 Fired this up for the first time in about 4 months last night. Playing a network game, I'm arsenal. Signed Sanchez, Romero, Aurier, Gauld & Doria so far. Any tips from anyone with any experience of playing with arsenal?
Samilktray Posted 28 July 2014 Posted 28 July 2014 Fvcking hell I'm shit at this game. And the networks game I'm in is with the lads from work, can't have them doing better than me.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 28 July 2014 Posted 28 July 2014 Just got Dundee Utd through the group stage of CL. Usually aim for third to get europa and did that again. Beat Copenhagen twice beat both Dortmund and Barca at home and yet to play Dortmund away. Will get some good money for that
Dan Posted 1 August 2014 Posted 1 August 2014 The Belgian league really is the pits. I didn't realise it would be this easy.
Fox92 Posted 1 August 2014 Posted 1 August 2014 Ahh messed up again. Was three points off third (beat Norwich who are 4th away 4-1) then lost at home to Villa 0-3. WTF. So random. That said, I've never ever beat Villa at home and I'm in 2024 ... Made the FA Cup 5th round, drew with Newcastle away, sixth round draw is Leicester/Newcastle away at Brentford (Championship team, quite winnable) and Newcastle score a fluke goal after I batter them. I'm out. Unbelievable. Nothing to play for again, apart from trying to make Europa League. Even then, so many strong teams. Meh, I was banking on an FA Cup win - especially with Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal all being out.
Samilktray Posted 1 August 2014 Posted 1 August 2014 Just been 2-0 down against Dortmund with my arsenal team in the champions league with 10minutes to play. Ended up winning 4-2. Don't know how I did it.
Grewks Posted 2 August 2014 Posted 2 August 2014 Watford are a perfect side for anyone looking for a championship side more than capable of winning the league and money to spend, despite only being required to finish mid-table. It is a shame it is so easy with them as i wanted to strengthen the squad for a season (Bringing in Sakho and Slimani who are both really good on the game, as well as mellis etc).
