I’ve only just learnt of the Paul McCartney is dead conspiracy theory. And I thought flat earth was far fetched this made for incredible reading.

thoughts everyone?

It's just funny how they played on it. His tooth in 'Paperback Writer' is clearly chipped from the accident.

The legendary impromptu rooftop gig. The Apple Building on Saville Row is now an Abercrombie and Fitch store. Walk past it once a week.

How tight were this bunch of musicians...even when they were falling apart?

One of my favourite tracks is one that usually slips under the radar, and that is “You’ve got to hide your love away”, stunningly simply melody, but incredibly catchy.

The Beatles last UK number 1. apparently George and Ringo weren't even on it.

Never knew that, I always presumed George was on it because the little guitar licks sound classic George.

You learn something new everyday.

09:30 one Sunday in October 1963, tickets went on sale at the Municipal Box Office in Charles Street for the Beatles’ second visit to Leicester on 1st December 1963. 3000 fans had started queuing on the Saturday night and sixty police officers were drafted to control the crowds. All 4500 tickets for the two performances were sold out by lunchtime, leaving many disappointed and fifty girls requiring medical assistance. (Information from Hunter Davies authorised book ‘The Beatles Book’).
These photos were taken by my father to record the event.

Amazing @davieG

They're not my pictures, I was considered too young to go to these.
