Kitchandro Posted 11 August 2013 Share Posted 11 August 2013 Schmeichel - 6.5 - Commanding enough, kicking crap and pointless though. Didn't really have to make a save. Moore - 7 - Solid enough. Morgan - 7- The same, we weren't really tested though. Whitbread - 4 - He's shockingly slow and cumbersome, rubbish on the ball too. Annoying player to watch. RDL - 5 - Didn't really look in the game Konchesky - 2 - Another terrible performance. The first half especially he was nowhere to be seen at the back when Leeds were going forward. James - 3 - Didn't realise he was there. King - 3 - Very poor game, looked off the pace. Drinkwater - 3 - I just don't see the point in him most of the time. He likes getting deeper and deeper, he's negative on the ball even with space to run into and his passing isn't that great. Boring player to watch and ineffectual. Vardy - 7 - Can't fault his effort but he didn't get into the game. Nugent - 4 - Looked very off the pace. Should have shot when in the box in the first half, made a lot of bad decisions and things didn't really come off for him. Subs Wood - 8 - Looked much better when he came on, hit the post with a great effort, looked fairly determined. Didn't have enough time to effect the game like he could have done. Knockaert - 6 - He seemed angry when he came on, his legs seem to get shorter too. On the other hand, he did more than the starters did all game with a couple of runs towards the box and created a couple of 'openings' if that's what you want to call them. Had he been on for longer I'm convinced he would have made an impact. Dyer - 6 - Was forced too deep but did OK. Had a couple of runs at them and pikced the right passes tooo, which nearly made something happen.

One Arm Babba Posted 11 August 2013 Share Posted 11 August 2013 Strange ratings there??? Whitbread did fine for me. Drinkwater was steady too. Other than Moore it would be 6.5s all round. He desrerves a

Sharpe's Fox Posted 11 August 2013 Share Posted 11 August 2013 Schmeichel - 5: Commanding but awful distribution. Moore - 8: Excellent defending and although none came off his throws are useful. Morgan - 7: Did his job. Whitbread - 6: Wins his headers but was sometimes suspect. He's a hoofer, though. De Laet - 5: Not an attacking presence today. Konch - 5: Same as always; suspect defensively. James - 5: Anonymous. King - 5: Anonymous. Drinkwater - 4: Negative. Vardy - 6: Worked hard but nothing came off. Looks like his confidence is gone. Nuge - 5: His quality never showed. Subs: Dyer - 6: Changed it a bit but didn't run at them as much as he could. Knockaert - 5: Bit of a headless chicken and didn't really do anything, except get himself booked and fall over. Wood - 7: Hit the post and looked like he was trying to get into the team again. shen Posted 11 August 2013 Share Posted 11 August 2013 Schmeichel - 6.5 - Not troubled and overall commanded his area well. Instigated the few counter-attacks we had. His throwing was usually good. Moore - 7.5 - Very solid defensively and made good runs forward when he switched to RB. Dealt well with the threat from Poleon. Morgan - 7 - Usual high standard. Positions himself well and rarely lost out in man to man situations. Whitbread - 5.5 - Looked uncomfortable in the first half, having to cover out wide. No pace, but did OK in the air and looked much better second half. RDL - 5 - Ineffective, but a lot of running. Not much happened down his side. Great little pass inside for King first half, who subsequently messed up his cross. Konchesky - 5.5 - Didn't offer a lot going forward. Could've crossed it on several occasions but pulled it back instead. Was exposed defensively first half, but Leeds did nothing down his side second half. James - 4 - Game passed him by. The few times he was on the ball he didn't do anything productive with it King - 5 - Tried to make things happen going forward, but his touch wasn't good. Shit cross, simple one-twos that were mistimed/overhit, but wasn't as "invisible" as James. Drinkwater - 5 - When he passes forward with purpose, he can be very good. He does it all too rarely though and I thought it was symptomatic that Morgan occasionally would be ahead of Drinky looking for a pass forward rather than the other way around. One decent effort on the turn after interplay with Knocky. Vardy - 5 - Didn't get a sniff. Wood might not have been more effective during the first 60 mins either though. Nugent - 5 - Agree with Kitchandro. Made more than a few poor decisions and his execution on the ball was inadequate. He should've at least hit the target when Knockaert played that great pass into the box. Subs Wood - 6 - One great run and shot. Had he been up against a more competent defender though, he would've lost the ball. Good strike, though he needed some luck for it to go in. Didn't do much else. Knockaert - 6.5 - Injected some much needed pace, urgency and creativity. In the short space of time he was on, he created two decent chances. Bit greedy with his shot near the end that failed to find the target. A few slips and a yellow pulls down the rating a little. Dyer - 6 - Pace that was much needed, tried to be constructive with the ball and made decent runs off it. Ultimately didn't come off, but it unsettled their defence which resulted in more space for others.
cc_star Posted 11 August 2013 Share Posted 11 August 2013 Schmeichel - 6 - not much to do but distribution still disastrous. Moore - 8 - Our MotM Morgan - 8 - Standard. Whitbread - 3 - Total liability 1st half, even in improved second could have gave penno away & saw red for 2nd yellow. Bombscare RDL - 6 - OK forst half, one of the better players, faded... supposedly ill during build up though. James - Did he play? Drinkwater - 5 - Pretty solid first half, second half disappeared, not helped by playing on his own in the middle King - Did he play? Konchesky - 5 - average throughout, never got exposed but can;t support attacks as his position dictates it should. Nuge + Vardy... living off scraps, could get into the game as Leeds did a job & our midfielders didn't turn up Wood - Looked much sharper than when he's started Dyer - Couldn't get into the game, never received a pass so he could use his pace Knocky - Embarrassing... like a snail in a City shirt, tries his hardest to run for the ball, but falls over, had one opportunity to pass to Moore in a great position but took a potshot think of the headlines showing he's learned nothing from his playoff penno. selfish, greedy but can't back it up with anything. Pearson - Players never responded today, Leeds tactics imposed themselves on our game & we never got going. Ref - 9 - For that back pass to the Leeds player & not seeing Whitbread give away a penno

Number 6 Posted 11 August 2013 Share Posted 11 August 2013 Schmeichel 7 - iffy distribution but commanded his area well. Moore - 8 motm Morgan - 7 as per Whitbread - 5 really poor in 352,looked much more comfortable when we switched to 442 Rdl - 5 very quiet Drinkwater - 6 kept possession well King - 5 anonymous James - 5 same as King but with a few nice touches Konch - 5 again looks better in a 442 Nugent - 5 very quiet, didn't cause them problems Vardy - 6 lucky with the little kick out in front of the linesman Wood - 7 posed a threat, looked up for it Knockaert - 6 creative but moaned and whinged too much for my liking. His own number 1 fan Dyer - 6 some good pacy runs but we didn't use him to his full potential Nige - 5 not enough ambition shown. We looked like an away team. Bert Posted 11 August 2013 Share Posted 11 August 2013 Kasper 6 - Little to do. RDL 5 - little effect on the game. Konch 6 - Did what he needed to without fuss. Whitbread 6 - 3's and 4's? Won everything in the second half. A few shaky moments throughout but the bloke has played his part in a clean sheet. Morgan 6 - Wasn't bad, but Wasn't great. Got beat in the air more times than Whitbread. Moore 7 - Not afraid to put his head in where it hurts, strong and does his job pretty well. James 5 - Huffed and puffed through the game. Drinkwater 6 - a little slow at times, perhaps could've used the ball better if the movement around him was better. King 7 - His usual Industrious self, got through a lot of work again. Nuge 6 - A little wasteful with the ball, still not 100% fit for me. Vardy 6 - Worked hard and put them under a lot of pressure, did well to get on the end of a through ball which he put over. Knocky 7 - We're so much better with him on. Ok, sometimes it's a bit too much but there's also that extra bit about us when he's playing. Dyer 6 - Didn't know whether to come or go when going for 50/50's which lead to him losing them all. Pace gets him out of trouble. Pelts did a good job on him. Wood 6 - Positive, unlucky not to score with the best chance of the game which he made himself.
Leicester Lass Posted 11 August 2013 Share Posted 11 August 2013 Kitchandro, I'd love to know what game you were watching. Schmeichel 7 Some tidy distribution, although nearly got us into trouble a couple of times too. Bit more commanding of his box from corners too which was good to see, a few decent punches. De Laet 5 Not really in the game at all. Moore 8 Outstanding. Some brilliant last ditch tackles and blocks. Wish someone would attack his throw-ins. Seriously impressive start to the season. Morgan 7 Think 3-5-2 takes him out of the game too much personally. Still did ok though. Whitbread 5 Dire first half but was very good in the air second half. Still looks a liability when strikers run at him. Konchesky 5 Not a great game really. Playing wing back really doesn't suit his game. James 6 Very decent first half, faded in the second though. Doesn't look as good in a 3 man midfield. King 7 Industrious. Some sloppy play but always worked hard when we didn't have the ball. Drinkwater 7 The three man midfield certainly suits him more than King and James. Slowed possession down a bit too much for me in the second half. Decent performance overall though. Vardy 6 Worked hard but didn't really make anything happen. Nugent 5 See above. Looked a bit off the pace to me too. Dyer 6 Standard Dyer really. Offers us something different though, his pace is always a threat. Knockaert 7 We looked much more threatening when he came on, there was finally a link between the midfield and strikers. He's much more effective behind the strikers than out wide. Needs to get rid of his petulance though. Wood 6 One fantastic run and shot that was unlucky not to lead to a goal. Didn't really hold the ball up well enough.
kingfox Posted 11 August 2013 Share Posted 11 August 2013 Schmeichel 6 - Good save at the end, reasonable kicking and catching De Laet 7 - If we got more out of him, he could of easily have been MOTM, played well Moore 8 - MOTM by far for me, the kid read the game so well today, tracked well and made some incredible blocks Morgan 7 - Strong display, but young Moore showed him up at times Whitbread 6 - Good in the air, but seemed slow when exposed Konchesky 5 - Too slow to play wing-back, played far too high up, left Whitbread exposed too often James 6 - Some good things, but pretty average Drinkwater 7 - Quicker on the ball, linked up well, but played a few unnecessary passes King 6 - Like James, average performance, put his body about well at times, but fairly quiet Vardy 7 - His movement and touch looked much better, decent display Nugent 6 - Mediocre performance SubsDyer 5 - Few good runs, about it Knockaert 4 - Rubbish Wood 6 - Did well, unlucky not too score

Bettsj2 Posted 11 August 2013 Share Posted 11 August 2013 From TV. Kasper - 6 - Routine game. RDL - 2 - Be shocked if he wasnt carrying a knock playing like that. Moore - 8 - Great game. Solid at Centre or Right back. Wes - 7 - Standard Wes. Whitbread - 7 - Some people seem desperate for him to play badly. Good in the air and nothing got round him on the deck apart from one occasion. Decent. Konch - 3 - Offered nothing. James - 4 - Does not look fit. King - 6 - Average. Drinky - 6 - Average. Vardy - 6.5 - Works hard but no service today. Nuge - 6 - Woeful effort when put in by Knocky. Average for the most part. Knocky - 6.5 - Tried to be positive but yet again, tried too much at times. Was hoping he'd have learnt. Wood - 7 - Held it well and was unlucky not to score. Needs to be this aggressive all the time. Dyer - 5 - Needed to make much more of an impact. NP - 6 - Made positive subs at the right times but this game just never got going at all.

MGLCFC Posted 11 August 2013 Share Posted 11 August 2013 Pretty average, thought Wes lost more headers than usual. particularly in second half. Also thought Whitbread had a decent game, you may say he hoof's it, but it was his 'hoof' that created Wood's chance. Positives Moore looks like he can play at this level and has the bonus of a great throw. Vardy looked sharp, but didn't really have any service Subs made a good contribution and we looked more dangerous as an attacking force Clean sheet Concerns Wing backs were ineffectual Midfield not creative enough or strong enough Lack of clear cut chances created. I don't think either keeper were really troubled. On the whole a decent start - I'd have taken 4 points from our first two games.

He was the one bright spark in the second half. The only one picking out City men in decent positions. So what if he fell on the ball and had one long range shot?! You are desperate for him to fail. Desperate. To the point that you're blind to what wasn't a bad little cameo.
Fox92 Posted 11 August 2013 Share Posted 11 August 2013 Schmeichel - 6 - Decent enough when called upon. Moore - 7 Morgan - 7 Whitbread - 6 - Still don't rate him. Nod.E Posted 11 August 2013 Share Posted 11 August 2013 Some of the ratings doing the rounds in here are laughable. Kasper - 7.5 - Okay, one or two bad kicks. But for goodness sake can we remember the large number of fantastic pieces of distribution? RDL - 6.5 Moore - 8 - A few bad passes, but apart from that was fantastic in defence. Morgan - 7 - Sometimes out of position but unbeatable one on one. Whitbread - First half 6 - Second half 7.5 - Not a chance he deserves all this stick. A couple of mistakes first half, but nothing shocking. Bossed it aerially second half. Konchesky - 6 - Average Drinkwater - 7 - Swept up nicely and got stuck in. James - 6 - Didn't do a lot, but kept things ticking fine. King - 5 - Our worst player on the day. His pass completion rate will have been terrible. Nothing came off. Did work hard though. Nuge - 5.5 - A lot of nearly moments. Hopefully a bit more game time will be enough. Vardy - 6.5 - Looked very sharp. Just didn't have much to work with. Dyer - 6 - Didn't do much. Knocky - 6.5 - Some moments of promise. Wood - 7 - Should have started for me. Caused problems.
