England v Montenegro and Poland.

Does everyone think Roy will go with the same eleven?

He has to.

I liked Woy when he first took over but since the last two games of the Euros and since then he's ended up how every other manager has ended up since Hoddle- going stale with tactics and boring formations/too defensive a line up.

It's a must win game so let's go for the jugular. We do need an early goal though I can't see one being the deciding goal. Ie there will be plenty of goals tomorrow IMO.

Really want Wasyl to start just so I can brag to my mates about how great we are!

I think the Poles will come it out and attack early on but we'll keep 'em out and grow into it and end up controlling the game, 2-0 win, unspectacular but job done.

Interested to see how the handle the pressure, add in that the Poles are under no pressure at all and it could be a very awkward evening. Got a horrible feeling we'll draw.

I can see us dominating the first half, scoring just after half time, pressurising until the hour mark without getting a second before the traditional mad panic in the last 20 when Lewandowski will net a cheeky equaliser.

Would absolutely love it (and piss myself) if England choke but I'm almost willing to bet you'll run in a fairly straightforward 3 - 1 after all the hype.

Lewandowski aside, they're really not that good and it showed (sadly) during the Euros. They lack solidity at the back and a bit of creativity to feed Lewa. Kuba's a terrifically likeable player but I can't see him being the difference.

I'd definitely swap our right side with theirs.

Mind you Townsend could be a gem. Very, very early days but he was terrific the other night, hope there's more to come.

I think Friday night papered over a hell of a lot of cracks but I think we should have enough at home to dispose of Poland, God knows why the FA came up with the brainwave of giving Poland 18,000 tickets, greedy sods. I hope people aren't expecting Townsend to perform like Friday night, if he does then great, I hope he can reproduce that but if he doesn't then fingers crossed the England faithful wont get on his back and call him a one game wonder..

We can't be negative tomorrow night, even if we go 1-0 up early doors, we need to take the game to Poland and have them out of sight as soon as we can, otherwise it could be one of them Wembley nights of 2008. They have some quality players and if one of them gets a chance then theres a good chance one of them will take it. Hope to see Steven Gerrard and Wayne Rooney take the game by the scruff of the neck at some point and produce that tackle, or that pass or that shot that lifts the rest of the team and most importantly lifts the crowd.

Jagielka, Cahill, Walker and recently Hart scare the shit out of me. What has happened to our notoriously reliable rear guard? We always produce bravehearts at the back but right now it's mediocre at best.

I don't know what the immediate answer is because you can't produce quality out of thin air and John Terry won't return so what are we left with? I still think Lescott is head and shoudlers above Jagielka but Roy obviously doesn't agree. Cahill is decent but only if alongside someone of Terry's ilk. I never thought i'd be praying for Glen Johnson to return but Kyle Walker isn't good enough for me and would much rather Phil Jones be given exposure and experience as he's the one defender whose the potential to be as good as Terry and Ferdinand.

Our midfield and striking options are as healthy as ever and fingers crossed that Sturridge overcomes his anxiety issues with donning the England shirt. He's coming on leaps and bounds at Liverpool and could be the best striker in England within 2 seasons, Welbeck seems to have that knack of being better for his national side than his club side so the signs are good. Rooney is growing in his role as talisman and I wonder if next summer should we get there, he finally delivers. Gerrard just oozes class in the last 18 months for England and Lampard is as reliable as ever. Wilshere, Townsend, Barkley, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Walcott all have big futures for us too.

We just need to get over the line tonight and then the next 4-8 years are right in front of us to push on and for once, achieve something.

I think the way around the defence is for Smalling and Jones to be the centre half pairing in years to come, for that too happen they need first team football and I can't see either of them becoming first choice Man United centre halves anytime soon.

All this about the defence, a massive problem would of easily be solved, if Ledley King had never had all those injury problems and retired.

If he was still playing now, he would be one of the first names on the teamsheet in my opinion.

Even without his injuries he'd be 33 and hardly a player whose in it for the long haul for England. There's minimal proven defenders good enough for England around the 26-30 age mark. Michael Dawson is having a solid start to the season with Spurs but again he's not really the calibre of Terry, Ferdinand, King, Sol Campbell etc.

Townsend and Lampard are out apparently...

Shame if Andros is out, Wilshere can comfortably come in for Lamps but who would replace Townsend and offer what he can? Milner will be the likely pick but he's so limited going forward. Sterling was called up but i'm not as convinced by him as others and i'd have given Tom Ince the nod over him.

In that case i'd play Sturridge and Welbeck out wide, Rooney and Defoe up front.

I admire the attacking intent there!

They didn't but because they realised shitloads of Polish fans were buying tickets in the home area they figured the sensible thing to do would be to sort out a larger away area and swap their tickets to there rather than hoping nothing would happen with thousands of away fans in the home area. They did a similar thing with the Ghana game too.

Not sure if it's been mentioned but apparently Poland stopped England qualifying in 1973 at Wembley.

Blimey, I think every available player, fan, journalist who was at the game has been wheeled out to talk about it as though it means something for tonight.

But the other defenders we have aren't in the calibre of the one's you have mentioned.

One thing though, people have slated Jagielka on here saying he isn't good enough.

Our record with him in defence, is pretty good.

Poland football fans plan to unveil a flag at the World Cup qualifying match against England commemorating Polish pilots' role in the Battle of Britain.

The RAF's 303 Squadron, formed with Polish aircrew, was Fighter Command's most successful unit in the Battle of Britain.

Jake Smolarek, from the charity organisation Hurricane of Hearts who organised the flag, said the match represented a perfect time to "honour" the Polish pilots and "to show that we have got on well with British people for many many years"

According to the RAF museum's website, Air Chief Marshal Sir Hugh Dowding, who led Fighter Command, wrote: "Had it not been for the magnificent material contributed by the Polish squadrons and their unsurpassed gallantry, I hesitate to say that the outcome of the Battle would have been the same."

Mr Smolarek said there had been a good response to the flag in Poland, where people are proud of their pilots who had flown with the British during World War Two with such distinction.

The flag is also meant to symbolise other joint campaigns between Britain and Poland during the war.
