The People's Hero Posted 12 October 2013 Posted 12 October 2013 Those calling Chiles remarks 'banter', sure, but you don't say it in a professional surrounding, he'll get in trouble for it, nowt to do with PC gone mad or anything. Correct.
purpleronnie Posted 12 October 2013 Posted 12 October 2013 Problem is the newspapers give them coverage, there will always be some who are offended but surely if the media didn't give them so much attention no-one would care.
Corky Posted 12 October 2013 Posted 12 October 2013 Good win, second half was much improved, thankfully we've managed to finally beat Montenegro after several struggles.
Uncle Albert Posted 12 October 2013 Author Posted 12 October 2013 Raheem Sterling called into the squad, shouldn't have really for saying he's been pretty average so far this season and barely started games for Liverpool. Jordan Henderson has earnt a call up I would say over Sterling.
Fox92 Posted 12 October 2013 Posted 12 October 2013 Went on the Spurs forum a few weeks back, and some of them say that Townsend can be better than Bale... I was well pleased for him, saw how much it meant to him in his celebration.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 12 October 2013 Posted 12 October 2013 My comment wasn't even meant to be humerous to be honest!
Guest MattP Posted 12 October 2013 Posted 12 October 2013 Considering Childs is a Labour supporting pig faced leftie who has accused others of racism for fcuk all in the past I'd piss myself if this brought him down.

Hmmm Wikipedia says: Chiles was one of several BBC personalities sent soiled toilet paper by post in February 2007. He said of the incident, "The smell is not something you want first thing in the morning." MattP, were you the phantom chunty-paper sender???
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 12 October 2013 Posted 12 October 2013 Embarrassing people complaining about the comments. Get a life
Guest MattP Posted 12 October 2013 Posted 12 October 2013 MattP, were you the phantom chunty-paper sender??? If I was going to risk prison by sending something through the post I'd a bit more all out than that
Matt Posted 12 October 2013 Posted 12 October 2013 He's apologised. I really am not sure what for, It's all factual, I see no racism in it, I don't even see it as 'banter'. I'm offended and angered by the people who actually found it offensive, too many people have the heads up their own arse's nowadays and need to toughen up abit if they find such comments offensive or consider them racist. Television presenter Adrian Chiles has apologised for a comment he made about Polish people after England's 4-1 victory against Montenegro at Wembley on Friday. Chiles caused a Twitter storm after his comment, but on Saturday insisted his remark was aimed 'at the nice Polish builders currently working at my place'. He was presenting the ITV1 show and before wrapping up the broadcast he made a comment about 'Polish builders' ahead of England's final qualifying game with Poland at Wembley on Tuesday which if the home side win they will reach next summer's World Cup finals in Brazil. As the live broadcast came to an end, Chiles said: 'It's practically a home game for Poland, 15,000 Poles will be in here, I'm sure.' Analyst Lee Dixon replied: 'Hopefully they're all crying by the end (of the game).' To which Chiles, whose mother is Croatian, added: 'I'm trying to get some building work done at the moment actually, quite seriously. Be careful.' On Saturday Chiles issued the following statement: 'I made the remark in relation to the nice Polish builders currently working at my place, who I knew would already be fed up having watched their team lose to Ukraine. And for the record I don't like Chiles, but fully support what he said and don't understand the arse's who complained. Infact I retract and rephrase that 'fully support' statement I made because there is nothing to 'fully support' basically what I mean is I simply see nothing wrong whatsoever with what he said.
eye666 Posted 14 October 2013 Posted 14 October 2013 Poland given 18k seats for tomorrow's game. They tyook ourrr seeeeeats.
Bert Posted 14 October 2013 Posted 14 October 2013 What's everyone's thoughts on tomorrow night then? Can't see Poland sitting back so hopefully there's enough room for us to play it around and create plenty of chances. Going to be a nervy night for sure though, the defence worries me more than anything.
Super_horns Posted 14 October 2013 Posted 14 October 2013 Can't see Poland sitting back so hopefully Think their large number of supporters will spur the Poles on to an extent but think we ought to win by 2.
Ric Flair Posted 14 October 2013 Posted 14 October 2013 Wasileski winner tonight and then us to face some proper big games for once in a play-off next month?
