Guest shearfox Posted 6 December 2013 Posted 6 December 2013 Amazon, humidity 99% against two nations use to such conditions, and Italy not exactly a great draw, but again it could have been worse I guess.

Ric Flair Posted 6 December 2013 Posted 6 December 2013 Amazon, humidity 99% against two nations use to such conditions, and Italy not exactly a great draw, but again it could have been worse I guess. The two nations who are used to the humidity aren't playing in the Amazon against us, only Italy are who will equally suffer. The problem against Italy is their ball retention and us running ourselves in to the ground. We'd need to go old skool and bull hammer them
ADK Posted 6 December 2013 Posted 6 December 2013 Realistically if we can beat 1 of Uruguay and Italy + Costa Rica we have a good chance of going through.
purpleronnie Posted 6 December 2013 Posted 6 December 2013 Realistically if we can beat 1 of Uruguay and Italy + Costa Rica we have a good chance of going through. But is it realistic? I guess we can hope they have an off day.
MC Prussian Posted 6 December 2013 Posted 6 December 2013 Oh f..k!!! You can always let the Kiwis represent you next summer, if you don't feel your team's up for it.
Super_horns Posted 6 December 2013 Posted 6 December 2013 Talk elsewhere on the net that FIFA might switch the kick-off time/location of our match v Italy and Uruguay v Costa Rica which is earlier in the day as happened in 2002 to suit all 4 countries.. The Sweden v England game in 2002 was move back to an evening kick-off swapping with Argentina v Nigeria.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 6 December 2013 Posted 6 December 2013 You can always let the Kiwis represent you next summer, if you don't feel your team's up for it. I think they showed against Mexico that they are miles behind us
lavrentis Posted 6 December 2013 Posted 6 December 2013 Terrible draw, i'll be in Greece at the time anyway so will probably only get to see Greece
MC Prussian Posted 6 December 2013 Posted 6 December 2013 I think they showed against Mexico that they are miles behind us Then again, they already know what it's like playing against Mexico.
Matt Posted 6 December 2013 Posted 6 December 2013 We should be expecting to finish 2nd. Italy should win the group, Uruguay will be tough but we should be expecting to beat them, Costa Rica with all due respect should not be written off but finish bottom of the group. If we don't qualify past the group stage it will be a failure and a disappointment imo.
GingerrrFox Posted 6 December 2013 Posted 6 December 2013 Apparently FIFA are contemplating moving England v Italy away from Manuas and doing a swap with Uruguay v Costa Rica.
Kitchandro Posted 6 December 2013 Posted 6 December 2013 Apparently FIFA are contemplating moving England v Italy away from Manuas and doing a swap with Uruguay v Costa Rica. I hope not, Ive already got a great evening planned out with the England Italy game as the crescendo.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 6 December 2013 Posted 6 December 2013 I know where my money will go for the World cup winners.
Tom17LCFC Posted 6 December 2013 Posted 6 December 2013 14th June will be carnage. Hope it doesn't get moved, would absolutely love a 2am kickoff here.

Guest ttfn Posted 6 December 2013 Posted 6 December 2013 With Rooney- Not a fcukin prayer Without- Possibly. Call me a traditionalist but I think we've got more chance of progressing with our best player. And before anybody makes any smart Alec comments, Wayne Rooney is the best player eligible to play for England.

In Man Utds form certainly Not in his Englandtournament form no. And before anybody makes any smart Alec comments, Wayne Rooney is the best player eligible to play for England.

We've got Danny Wellbeck.
wattolcfc Posted 6 December 2013 Posted 6 December 2013 Anyone thinking of going? I'm planning on doing the final 2 group games as they are in close proximity and spend a few days in-between in Rio. Looked at flights, travel, tickets and hotel will cost £1100 for the week and then spendo, should be doable.
