Mike the Metal Ed Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 Schlupp is good at bursting forward and can create chances, but I'm yet to be convinced he has the finishing ability to be a starting centre forward. Certainly a good option to have though.
Tielemans63 Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 Hate to say it but the more I see of Schlupp the less impressed I am with him. He has raw talent but we're talking seriously raw.
Dr The Singh Posted 17 December 2013 Posted 17 December 2013 I can see why Man Utd didn't want to keep him, lacks the quality at that level
Grewks Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 After his performance tonight i don't want him anywhere near the first team. Looked lazy and disinterested......Does he think he has made it because he sits on the bench of a team in the championship? The difference in attitude between him and our other youngsters (moore, drinky, knocky etc) is embarrassing for him.
Dickov22 Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 He did pretty well when he came on. He can't do any worse than Nugent, I'd give him a start at QPR
Happy Fox Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Is one of those players that needs an arm round the shoulder he has to be given that self belief.
Babylon Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 He wasn't great, but I thought he looked quite bright when he came on... certainly got involved more than GTF. But Man City had gone from 1st gear to reverse by that point so it was natural he'd get a bit more time on the ball.
Guest ttfn Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Whenever he's had a run of games up front he's done well for us. Scored some important goals at the back end of last season. Can't possibly be a worse option that Nugent at the moment.

I was speaking to a mate down there yesterday, he spoke to some relatives of Nugent a couple of weeks ago. (friend is very trustworthy and not a bullshitter). He said Forest are definitely still interested in him, and something could come of that in January. And that Nugent doesn't like the position he is being asked to play (deeper role and not main striker) as he doesn't feel it suits him.
KFS Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 He got round Lescott pretty well to get his cross in, shame it wasn't a better delivery. I still put 'no', however.

I also spoke to a chap in the summer who claimed to be a mate of Nugent's dad up on the Wirral who said Nugent was keen to play for Billy the Dwarf again. It's a shame that it's come to this but based on the last year I honestly couldn't care if Nugent left now. He's moping around the pitch and contributing very little at the moment. And I say this as somebody who was delighted when we signed him and never had a bad word to say in his 18 months at the club.
Dan Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 No worse than Nugent or Taylor-Fletcher last night and that's saying something really about those two.

Guest Col city fan Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 It was Nugents Dad my mate spoke to at Brighton away. My mate spoke to your mate who spoke to his mate...
Dickov22 Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 It was Nugents Dad my mate spoke to at Brighton away. All true. Forest enquirer about him in the summer and he's not been offered a new deal here yet. Probably explains his lacklustre performances and body language
Bluetintedspecs Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 I would like to see Lloydy, Jeff and Vards in a front 3, Knocky playing off them in a Central hole position with Drinky & James behind for QPR away.

I admire the attacking intent but I'm not sure QPR away is the game to be trying this out! The full backs could get murdered with no protection.

More than happy for him and Morgan to fcuk off to them in January, both been well below par for the majority of this season that i've watched.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Don't know much about QPR but looking at their defense it seems that two forwards with pace could be an asset?
JonnyBoy Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 he never seems to be in full control of the ball much like Dyer and can be very lazy and looks for the simple pass

Your mate.. who also happens to be 1964Fox off here and posted that on here last week... Massive ITK you are Babylon.
foxfanazer Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 When he got the ball he just ran straight with it, straight in to a defender. Never looks like taking a player on
dynamark Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 jeff is a lot better than GTF albeit less experience
