peterborofox Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Can see two or three nil qpr. Really want us to go back to 352 though. Always felt we were less vulnerable when defending and the defence lately was been poor. Kasper Moore/Waso Morgan Miquel RDL Konch DD James King Nugent Vardy Yes Id leave Knockaert and Dyer out, just so we might actually be able to defend

Dickov22 Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Knockaert is too much of a luxury in a game like this if he's on the wing. I'd either leave him out or play him behind Vardy.
Harry - LCFC Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Wouldn't mind a draw although Derby will probably draw level with us. Get back to winning ways in the next two home games.
Dan Posted 18 December 2013 Author Posted 18 December 2013 1-0 loss with a late Charlie Austin goal I think unfortunately. This. I can see it being almost freakishly similar to the last time we had these away.
Simonb Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Schmeichel De Laet Morgan Miquel Konchesky James Drinkwater Vardy Knockaert Dyer Nugent 100% would go for this formation, but with Moore in for Miguel 1-1 Nugent for me and drop to 4th after Derby win again
Aus Fox Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Drop Vardy no way he has been are best forward this season so Vardy for Knocky for me as he has been very poor recently Sorry I would have to agree, correct me if I am wrong but I don't think Vardy has scored a goal against a top half side this season. I know he runs and puts 100% in every week , but realistically he isn't good enough to be our main striker. If he is playing along side someone who is taking their chances he is a great addition to the side. I know Nuge is badly out of form but games like Ipswich prove why he is our number one striker. Once Wood is fit I would for him a run either alongside Vardy or in a 4-3-3 with Knocky and Dyer but until that point Vardy, Schluup, GTF are simply not good enough to be relied on as our main source of goals.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Would like to see James Drinky and King in middle and Jeff, Vards & Lloydy up top, out and out pace up front! Despite our recent blip I feel we can beat these.
Strokes Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 A 0-0 washout, they will be as fearful of us as we are them.
Dan Posted 18 December 2013 Author Posted 18 December 2013 I want to see an exact repeat of 2010/11 with Leicester getting the winner. Limbs.

lgfualol Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 I really think it will be one of the most frustrating games. Missed chances, their goalkeeper having a good game, they score when the defence have a mixup, knocky comes on second half and we look better but cant get through their defence. Saying all that.. 0-2 Leicester
billyn88 Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 There won't be more than one goal in this - sadly I think its going against us.
Silverdaz Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Wouldnt be the end of the world if we lose this one as there is plenty of games coming up and a draw there would be a very good result
Kitchandro Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Lets just do what we did at Watford. No dramas.

Lineker's Left Foot Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Not necessarily this game but would love to see a 3-5-2 away from home giving Knocky a free reign behind the front two... Schmeichel Moore Morgan Miquel De Laet Drinkwater Knockaert James Schlupp Vardy Nugent/Wood Cue abuse for my idea
Guest Col city fan Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Quite confident for this one, think we've got enough in our locker to see this lot off. Would love to get one over on the crook and his band of merry mercenaries. Interesting. I hope Im wrong but I can see us getting caned in this one. 3-0 QPR
Monsell1976 Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 Wouldnt be the end of the world if we lose this one as there is plenty of games coming up and a draw there would be a very good resultYour right it wouldn't be the end of the world, but in my opinion this is a must win game, purely on the basis of getting the season back on track, and inject a bit of confidence going into the Christmas period. If we win it's 4 points out of 12 available in December, better than 1 out of 12, and hopefully would stave off some doubts in the fans and players minds, that we can steady the ship this year and not free fall like last season.

I completely agree No game before Christmas is a 'must win game' However, its a confidence thing. Lose this one to a promotion rival and we would have amassed 1 point from 12. Win it and it'll give the boys a real boost.
Father Ted Posted 18 December 2013 Posted 18 December 2013 I'd go for: Schmeichel De Laet Moore Morgan Konchesky Knockaert James Drinkwater King Dyer Vardy Subs: Logan, Wasilewski, Schlupp, Hammond, Cain, Waghorn, Nugent. If we were to go 4-4-2, take King out and put Schlupp in there. I'm worried about how fatigued some of our centre midfielders will be, in particular Dyer and Drinkwater. Hence, I'd put young Cain on the bench too, nothing to lose and in a 5 man midfield would be the perfect time to blood him, could just provide that something different going forwards from what I've seen of him. What I expect to see: Schmeichel De Laet Morgan Miquel Konchesky Hammond King Drinkwater Vardy Nugent Dyer 2-0 loss
