ramadaone Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Very accomplished and professional performance. With a bit more composure we could have sealed it up towards the end too. On Schlupp, I think he would be better if he started (though I wouldn't actually start him ahead of Nuge or Vardy). He was awful in that last 10 minutes when we needed somebody to calm down, take a touch and make the right decision, but he has a lot of pace and he makes defenders panic a bit. Vardy's goal was quality. The turn was magnificent and the finish was perfect. Couldn't agree more regarding Schlupp as he was awful and with any amount of composure he would have set up 2 or 3 great chances That composure will probably only come with game time which he should be getting in the 21's/Development but as he is the only cover we have got for Konch he hasn't played as much as he should have
Wilson_6 Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Such a good performance! Can be proud of that one boys! Morgan and Moore were brilliant! in fact the whole team played as a unit!
Mrmojorisin Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 The perfect snatch and grab away performance. Moore and Morgan were absolutely immense, as were Konchesky, Drinkwater & Vardy. Brilliant result. Only downside, I'll have to pull something over Bieber May I suggest a noose?
Guest Col city fan Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 I'll be the first to hold my hands up and say I predicted we'd get tonked today. But it wasn't to be. The game plan held firm, Vardy had a sensational game amd even Joey willy puller Barton got sent off :xmaslaugh: When GTF came on, he did what he does pretty well. Its testament to us that it was us who looked more like scoring in the second half than they did. The only slight disappointment was Schlupp who, despite his athleticism showed today that he has very little footballing brain. Just a simple pass to Lloyd Dyer and it was two-nil. However, thats by the by.... a great, committed performance by our lads (and fans) and Happy Christmas to all!!
crisp packet Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Get in there !!! Last season just before Xmas we had Cardiff and palace at home took one point ? This year we've took four off our rivals ....? I new we would win today , it's the leicester way. COYB
Lobsterboyuk Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Get in! Buzzing! Early Xmas, cheers Santa
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 honestly I forgot this team could grind out 1-0s, its nice to see us doing the gritty stuff as well as the free flowing play at home. Lavly result just before Christmas
Monsell1976 Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Great result, as Pearson himself said it's just one more game, but take nothing away from the boys, not pretty but great team effort, now come on boys lets push on
kingfox Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 May I suggest a noose? And you are? Someone who doesn't post very often.
Rincewind Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 I would not have been disappointed with a draw but some games you need some luck for hard fought wins and this season it is going for us.
foxfanazer Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Delighted with that. Good away performance and a clean sheet!! Nugent and Vardy looked great and Knockaert looked more disciplined. Cracking goal also
AKCJ Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 I'm more excited for the Reading game than I am for Christmas now
OLD norfox Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 What a day. 3 points a clean sheet and then Tops christmaspresent to the club!!
MC Prussian Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Glad to see the team getting back to winning ways. And that at Loftus Road out of all places, a stadium where we've done rather badly in recent years. By the sounds of it, we were lucky to get away with the lead in the first, but did everything to protect that 1-0. A result that cheers me up big time - and it came rather unexpectedly. Still, let's not delude ourselves that we need more of that fight and pashun in the games to come. At least the players have redeemed themselves for one of the bad away performances. Joint top. Reading at home next. Followed by Bolton three days later. Six points - are they doable...?
chrishlcfc Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 I thought our defence had looked a little shakey and nervous in recent weeks but today they were absolutely sensational. The whole team worked there socks off and I thought we were good value for the 3 points.
pazzerfox Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Great result, good performance but I was very disappointing with schlupp when he came on. Players need to take these opportunities when they get the chance and he had chances to cause them real problems on the counter attack on numerous occasions and messed them all up!
fazzyfox Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 I don't understand it. I'm a nice guy, I trust my postman, it's Christmas, but still that turd Barton got more cards than me today...
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Excellent win, cheers Vardy's goal was superb btw...
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 We got insanely lucky, lord knows how they didn't finish some of their chances. Great result though, hopefully that carries us through the next fixtures. They had a few good chances but didn't really sustain their spells of pressure. As for the 2nd half we were clearly the better team and deserved the win
Kitchandro Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 We didn't play well at all but grinding out the result is a great boost. Vardy's goal was superbly taken. I was flabbergasted when he came off because we really needed him to keep chasing stuff down. Was he injured? It was a bizarre game, the squirrel thing was just one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen at the match, I mean what on earth was going on; everyone just stood around for 5 minutes waiting for someone else to do something. Hilarious stuff. QPR proceeded to dominate possession but in the match we created the better chances. I can't think of one decent opportunity for QPR in the second period despite the fact they had us pinned in our own half for most of it. Some of the decisions were laughable, a lot of home side stuff going on. If Dyer had buried that great chance he predictably scuffed 50 metres wide it might have been more comfortable. In all honesty though we never got our passing going, and gave it away within 10 seconds most of the time. Great result though.
AKCJ Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Burnley already winning. Can't Danny Ings **** off so Burnley can head back to mediocrity where they belong?
Guest shearfox Posted 21 December 2013 Posted 21 December 2013 Burnley already winning. Can't Danny Ings **** off so Burnley can head back to mediocrity where they belong? I'm surprised Blackpool can field a team with all the suspensions they must have...
