Flare in N-Block

Recommended Posts

Kids probably will love it. Do parents want to take their children to a game of football and sit in the family stand and have a smoke bomb land near them? Should kids be inhaling the smoke and the smoke in their eyes? The answers are no.

This time it was a smoke bomb, say next time it's a flare that lands near the children or even hits one of them, imagine the damage that could do to a little 5 year old lad? I would be fuming and if it was to happen to my child (not that I have any) I wouldn't threaten whoever was responsible for the flare, I would throttle the shitbag.

Correct.

I'm not defending the smoke bomb and I can see why people would be pissed off. Just made a bit of a side point really.

Oh no, my post came across as I was disagreeing with you, that wasn't my intention.

Well if nothing else has come of this, at least a different part of the ground from the West Stand is getting a bit of stick for once !!

I feel almost included.

These smoke 'burn so hot' that stewards pick them up and walk off with them.... Let's end this silly argument, don't set anymore off in the family stand as it could be harmfully to the youngens, but take them away games they are pure quality everyone loves a smoke bomb wooooop Birmingham here we come

Just a silly little kid, with Neanderthal intelligence, aren't you?

One day you may grow up.

Well at least we know what each stand will have in the future now.

West stand - To sit in silence and eat sandwiches.

The KOP - Moan and call the ref a "willy puller"

East stand - Sing

Family Stand - Pyro show

They need their heads checking, there is a time and place to use smoke bombs but that wasn't it. To throw it in the family stand is just ludicrous, especially where a bunch of kids are seated.

Basically some dipshit 'badman' let off a smoke bomb - NOT A FLARE.

Then it was thrown by a steward (the pillars of the community according to some on here) and was then thrown again where it landed by the steward at the bottom of the stand.

Obviously it was stupid ( I looked at the cretin's twitter - he's absolutely loving it) but with some of the posts on here you'd think the lad had clubbed a small child in the face with a military grade flare.

Oi...you forgot the sidelong, suspicious glances at anyone who does sing !!

And it's not our fault if others are not posh enough for sandwiches.

I'm stood 3 seats away from the barrier in L1 next to the away fans, so I think I've got a pretty good idea of it all.

Got to agree with Bert on this one. Ive only ever heard L1 sing 'that is our family stand' towards the away fans when they start getting a bit brave in that direction. Singing in response to 'sit down you're the family stand' wouldn't even make any sense. Bert is 100% correct here.

Granted 7-8 year olds might not be but my 3 year old certainly was.

I'm not defending the smoke bomb but I think 3 years old is a bit young for the footy tbh

Kids love the pyro!!

Exhibit A - FC Wacker Innsbruck (crouching down for a chant)

Exhibit B - OFI Crete, the two young lads (one very young!) in this picture could not be more in the middle of it if they tried!

No Bert isn't 100% correct here at all unfortunately. LCFCFOX has it bang on. Away fans this season have sang to us in the family stand "Sit down in your family stand" which does make sense? No? We've replied with "1-0 to the family stand".

**** the smoke bomb debate...i think we need a poll about-

"Do the away fans sing sit down in your family stand"

it needs a poll defo

I, along with others, as an N1 STH can 100% confirm they do, no doubt about it.

Why? If the club are happy to sell tickets to me you can't argue? This is completely irrelevant and nothing to do with this issue. If my lad was 3, 7 or 12 I'd still be as pi55ed off as I am now.

I suppose so,but why take a 3 year old.I suppose I'll get stick for saying that,but what's the point.I don't mean that in a bad way.

What way do you mean it then? Why not take a 3 year old? There are no restrictions? Have you got kids??

Why do some blind people go? Why do OAPs go? Why do disabled people go? All the above would be vulnerable in the same situation. This has got nothing to do with age and I'll continue to take my lad - one jumped up chav taking a smoke bomb in to N block is not going to change that....

You can't compare your 3 year old to a blind or disabled Leicester fan.Don't talk shit.

most teams have chanted something like "sit down you're the family stand" this season. Locating The family stand next to the away fans is always a bad idea. Wether it's because the away fans are there or some people will go and cause trouble to be next to the away fans. Which happened yesterday.

There is one easy solution the club could do which I will not say...

been to every game this season including cup games and haven't heard this once

Equally vulnerable I said. Besides answer my question - why shouldn't I take my 3 year old Leicester supporting Filbert Fox loving lad??

But how would they know it's the family stand? Because L1 sing "that is our family stand". Which was the original point.
