Guest ttfn Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 A friend of mine is in Japan for a year and she wants me and Mrs ttfn to come and visit in mid-May. Flights will obviously increase the longer I leave it so... Do I: A) Book now and risk ridicule for my over-confidence? B) Play it safe - I don't want to miss us crashing out of the play-offs at Forest. I imagine that Fraizer Campbell was in a better position to write off the cost of a holiday than I am.
Nalis Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 I'd go for Option A. And if we don't go up automatically, don't blame yourself, blame Nige and the boys...
Mark_w Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 In the words of the great Nigel Pearson, play it safe.
Beliall Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 book your mrs her ticket, book yuors later, if we fail and end up in the play offs, she can go on her own
lavrentis Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Go April if you can and see the cherry blossoms
Bert Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Thought this was gonna be the sequel to Frazier Campbell's holiday plans. Disappointed.
Guest ttfn Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Thought this was gonna be the sequel to Frazier Campbell's holiday plans. Disappointed. It definitely is. Probably better. Like The Godfather Part 2.
kingfox Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Pray to god for a massive thunderstorm, so you can't fly.
Steven Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 book your mrs her ticket, book yuors later, if we fail and end up in the play offs, she can go on her own Optimal solution
ScouseFox Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 Go at the start of April, we'll be up by then. And you'll be back for the party.
Soar Fox Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 I booked a holiday last Friday forgetting about the playoff final. I've said that IF we are playing in it I won't be going on holiday.

leicesterisme Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 You'd miss out on a holiday for a game of football. Are you mad? A play off final is a little bit different, don't you think?
Soar Fox Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 You'd miss out on a holiday for a game of football. Are you mad? Only £400, I'd book another one.
Guest MattP Posted 29 January 2014 Posted 29 January 2014 You'd miss out on a holiday for a game of football. Are you mad? You are allowed to book more than one holiday a year.
shade Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 if someone guaranteed you promotion through the play off final now, would you take it?
hairy Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Some airlines will let you move the date of your flights, make sure you book with one that does = win/win
Beliall Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 if someone guaranteed you promotion through the play off final now, would you take it? no
Captain... Posted 30 January 2014 Posted 30 January 2014 Last game of the season is on the 3rd of May, Play off final is 24th of May, Go on the 4th come back on the 23rd, all is good, you don't miss end of season (possible promotion/champions deciding) match, if we end up in the play offs get back before the final, if you miss the semis it becomes irrelevant, as if we win you will get to watch the final, if we lose you will miss the heartache. And you have up to 19 days in Japan.
Guest ttfn Posted 2 February 2014 Posted 2 February 2014 I've gone "balls out" and booked it to miss the play-off final.
lavrentis Posted 2 February 2014 Posted 2 February 2014 It'll be ****ing boiling in May. Should be okay then tbh
The Year Of The Fox Posted 2 February 2014 Posted 2 February 2014 Just don't go. Tell them to come to you
The Year Of The Fox Posted 2 February 2014 Posted 2 February 2014 You'd miss out on a holiday for a game of football. Are you mad? I'd imagine most people arrange holidays around football. I know I do.
