Finnaldo Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 Fawaz being the best owner in football. Comedy gold. Surely Forest fans are embarrassed just hearing that.
LanguedocFox Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 Lot of good points. I really don't want a populist owner who listens to the fans, most of whom (like me) talk bollocks most of the time. Their quiet backing for NP at the end of last season and over the summer was brilliant. And as NP says in his Telegraph interview, "People ask me: ‘Have I spoken to the owners?’ No. There’s nothing wrong with that. I saw them in the summer, seen them occasionally this season and they enjoy watching it from afar, or having a low-key influence. That’s slightly alien to us over here. You get the other end of the spectrum like Cardiff." Or, he might have added, Forest.
Babylon Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 Ha ha ha what deluded tool of a Forest fan wrote that? How about 11. Failed miserably to comply with FFP. 12. Looks like Dev from Corrie. 13. Signed who he wants... Other than the 600 people they couldn't afford, or who turned them down. 14. Has the Forest tools eating out of his hand.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 Can't forget the free shirts for forest away last season, wear it to bed. Thank you Top for giving me something to remember that day by forever.
Voll Blau Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 When either club is fan-owned then I'll consider us/them to have the best owners in football.
shade Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 When either club is fan-owned then I'll consider us/them to have the best owners in football. yeah because football fans are notoriously level headed and intelligent people.
FuriousFox46 Posted 3 February 2014 Author Posted 3 February 2014 When either club is fan-owned then I'll consider us/them to have the best owners in football. I never claimed we had the best owners in football.
Voll Blau Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 yeah because football fans are notoriously level headed and intelligent people. Seems to work fine in Germany - and with Portsmouth, Brentford, Exeter, Wimbledon etc. I never claimed we had the best owners in football. I never said you did either.
StanSP Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 Our owners don't announce signings on Twitter when they've not actually gone through fully.

Captain... Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 That blog post about Fawaz was the most bizarre and ridiculous bit of cyber fellatio I've ever read.
Dan Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 Anyone who genuinely believes Fawaz is the best owner in football is either; a) a huge moron b) a very deluded Forest fan c) has extremely little faith in football in general d) All three of the above

KFS Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 Nottingham Forest should offer barf bags at the gates to the away end. Genuinely so cringey.
Dan Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 Lets ask what people in Brisbane, Kuala Lumpur and Rio de Janeiro think of Forest's owners seeing as they're so world famous and everyone knows everything about them
Vlad the Fox Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 Fawaz is a joke, desperate to be like, and populist decisions as a result. Plus that he regularly speaks bullshit (usually on twitter) to the fans who the majority of swallow everything. Is he weak? Maybe, what owner would let his manager employ his unqualified family in key positions within the club. As for davies is he with him or only interested in himself. Looking from the outside in something isn't quite right there, with the rumours that come out the place, media blackout and shoddy transfer activity.
Fox92 Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 Nige was right in that Telegraph article that MickyT posted... Our owners aren't in the media as much as other idiots like Cardiff.
Lionator Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 Our owners haven't laid off 56 backroom staff either unlike Mr. Hasawi
Vlad the Fox Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 Didn't he get rid of the women's football team as well?
Grey Fox Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 Ha ha ha what deluded tool of a Forest fan wrote that? How about 11. Failed miserably to comply with FFP. 12. Looks like Dev from Corrie. 13. MooseBreath Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 Seems to work fine in Germany - and with Portsmouth, Brentford, Exeter, Wimbledon etc. What's so good about Germany? Those English clubs are all crap too.

Fawaz is a moron and their ridiculous gullible fans are a total embarrassment. They're literally worse than we were two years back and that is saying something. What's so good about Germany? Those English clubs are all crap too. 17 out of 18 Bundesliga clubs recorded a profit I believe.
CosbehFox Posted 3 February 2014 Posted 3 February 2014 Seems to work fine in Germany - and with Portsmouth, Brentford, Exeter, Wimbledon etc. I never said you did either. Only Exeter and Wimbledon can consider themselves fan owned in that they make an active input towards the running of the club. Pompey is basically a local consortium with a fan trust member on the board and Brentford are pretty much in the hands of a single bloke now...a poker player. Fan ownership can have its pitfalls. Because you are asking people who work to add more time to something. Also easy for petty arguments to start. I read something on how difficult the likes of Wrexham and Chester have found it recently. There's no real formula for good ownership.
