ousefox Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 Fantastic to see the reaction of the bench when we scores too. Remember when Howard scored that last min goal against Leeds and we had players who didn't even move a muscle. Think Kisnorbo was one of them.
LanguedocFox Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 The last League game I went to was Burnley - the last game we didn't win and I've been reluctant to go since we've won every game I didn't go since. FINALLY I CAN GO TO ANOTHER GAME! A (London based) mate of mine was there, and he hasn't seen City get a point yet this season - been to Charlton and Brighton away, and Forest at home. I was in the middle of sending him a text to say he's banned when Drinky scored. Saved at the death
Tom17LCFC Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 Horrible tactics from Watford. You can really see the foreign influence, so much diving, feigning injury and general cheating. Insane scenes when Drinky pinged it home, would have been absolute carnage if we'd have snatched another after.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 Our support today represented our performance on the pitch. Lacklustre at best. Dyer didn't get enough of the ball and when he did it was more often than not into his feet with players around him- not his preferred way of receiving the ball. De Laet too was nowhere near as adventurous in going forward as he usually is. He so often dictates our style of play inadvertently or not. The fact is we play well when he pushes on. Fortunately today he looked solid in defence. We were well below par IMO. I'm not complaining- it happens in football. Cardiff were draw specialists towards the end of last season.
Happy Fox Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 Almost won the game in the end a point is a fantastic result given our position in the game what a ping by Drinky. The only criticism I have was we didn't past the ball quick enough.
orangecity23 Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 Ohhhhhhhh I saw a crap striker, from Udinese Go down like he's shot-gunned, when somebody sneezed He clutched at his faaaaaaace, and rolled on the floor And when he'd done 3 rolls, he did fifteen more But we've got Drinkwaterrrrrr, so when all's said and done We can laugh at Watford, when they're in League One. Would've loved to win, but very glad to have a point, especially with a last minute equaliser. Thought Konch had a good game, and we showed good attitude to keep plugging away, even when Watford stuck everyone behind the ball and wasted time and feigned injury at every possible opportunity.
Soar Fox Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 Because Phillips didn't miss an even greater chance a few minutes before the equaliser... No he didn't, quite similar to his chance at Bournemouth. That was offside anyway.
lavrentis Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 Good effort L1 (apart from when 2-0 down), shambles from rest of crowd. Watford closed us down, first to most things and barely gave us any space. I'd take a point from that

Nugent Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 Good point in the end, would have been absolute carnage had we scored with the last kick of the game.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 Well happy with a point in the end, and lovely to spoil the Watford party. Why are they so terrible at keeping 2 goal leads!

EnglishOxide Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 We are much better than them and should have won. If the subs were made 15 mins earlier we would have. Give Dyer one more game against Forest. If he doesnt do well then we should start giving Mahrez some time. It was his pass and incisiveness that started the movement around the box for the equaliser.

I'd take a point from that Didn't hear them once. But your right an absolute shambles. After 9 wins as well.
lavrentis Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 I rate Lloyd defensively aswell and I think some people are forgetting this aspect of his game
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 What a horrid, horrid side they were. Glad they got exactly what they deserved in the dying minutes and that we didn't take the knock of a defeat despite not being at our best. Think first half one of the main problems was that we didn't play to our strengths. We're at our best down the flanks with our full backs overlapping and players driving into the box or cutting balls back. The amount of times Wasilewski was ignoring simple passes to his right to De Laet and inside hoisting it forward in the swirling wind was infuriating. Pretty much the first time we played it out to Richie the overlap and cutback came and we scored. Second half they set-up to play on the break and only close us down when we crossed the halfway line, making it very hard for us to play on the break and get our pacey players in behind. But we stuck at it and moved the ball around better to try and pull them out of shape. A moment of quality gets us a point that we might not have got last season. All in all a decent point and hopefully a bit of a reality check for a lot of people that the run in isn't going to be as easy as they might have thought. We'll see a lot more teams come to us and set-up like Watford did second half and there will be games where we'll have to settle for draws where pre-match it looked like an easy three points.

Raj Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 Crap game Crap atmosphere alot of players were Crap but happy to get a point if we play that Crap!
Bluetintedspecs Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 Quite enjoyed the game despite Watfords spoiling and diving! Think the conditions were very difficult and hampered some of our flowing football. Lloydy was pretty inefective today but the lads never gave up and we got the least we deserved. Nuge should have won it for us in the dying second though. Got to be pleased with a draw from 2-0 down but that doesn't really tell the story of the game IMO. COYB
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 Thanks Watford for proving that the only exciting moment you've had recently has proved to be a catalyst for us to go up..nice one!!
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 What a horrible, horrible game that was to watch.ThisWatdinese players should be ashamed dirty dirty cheats
Guest ttfn Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 Tactically Watford's set up was good. It was a solid, disciplined defensive performance from them and I don't think either side can have too many complaints about the result. The play-acting from the Watford players was absolutely embarrassing. It was starting to look silly after about an hour and by the end of the game they'd become a parody of themselves.
