BigWesMorgan Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 Schmeichel 6 - Didn't have his best IMO. (Barr the save) Distribution was pretty bad RDL 5.5 - One of his poorer games, But his previous performances make up for it Morgan 7 - Had a decent game Wasilewski 5 - Same as RDL, maybe should have scored Konchesky 5 - Pretty bad, Few good crosses Knockaert 6.5 - Good footwork, Good crosses, Composed passing James 8 - Awesome Drinkwater 8 - Awesome Dyer 3 - Poor today Vardy 5 - Hassled with no effect Nugent 3 - Poor, Didn't test the keeper Wood 3 - N.A Philips 5 - Probably had an impact Mahrez 6 - May merit a start, May not Watford were poor. How can they call us cheats. Didn't deserve a point
bald reynard Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 For those who were unable to be at the KP today, I'm sure some City player ratings would be appreciated.
martyn Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 Kasper 7 RDL 6 Morgan 8 Wasilewski 7.5 Konchesky 6 Knockaert 7 James 7 Drinkwater 7 Dyer 6 Vardy 6.5 Nugent 6.5

TJB-fox Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 Kasper 7 kicking decent, made one brilliant save RDL 7 good running, always an outlet. Got an assist. Good link up play with AK wes 7 bit flat at times but generally adequate was 6 same as wes but got done by Deeney too many times today Konch 6 AK 6 bit flat, few poor deliveries. james 7 poor first half bar a good finish, picked up 2nd DD 8 not brilliant first half but good on the ball, and quality goal dyer 6 see knocky, had 1 or 2 good deliveries mind nugent 6 couldve had a few today, albeit with half chances vardy 6 works hard, didn't really happen for him today Phillips 6 Wood n/a Mahrez 7 good link up, few good crosses
Bert Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 Kasper 8 - Just for that save. RDL 6 - Seemed a bit lacklustre. Konch 6 - See RDL. Was 6 - At fault for the first goal but decent enough otherwise. Morgan 7 - Deeney was well and truly in the back pocket. Knocky 6 - Tried but all to no avail. Dyer 5 - Crap James 7 - Probably the best outfield player. Drinky 6 - Wasn't on his game today but rescued us a point. Vardy 6 - Didn't get a sniff. Nugent 5 - Poor.
dmayne7 Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 Thought James and Drinkwater were below par but I'd give them a 6 and 7 just because they scored a goal. James' decision making was very poor at times which is very unusual for him and Drinky did some very good things but some not so good things. Wouldn't be surprised to see Kingy back in the middle soon. Also, as rare as it is for me to say, thought bringing Philips on ahead on Wood in that game wasn't a great decision because we couldn't really break them down and needed a change in physicality. Still, another point on our way.

Still, another point on our way. I agree with you, especially about bringing Wood on first - and to replace Nuge rather than Vardy. I'd also have liked to see Wood and Mahrez (for Dyer) on at around the 60-minute mark, rather than so late in the game. But I thought it was a good team performance all round today: some players were indifferent, but no-one hid - unlike last season.
Guest ttfn Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 Schmeichel 6.5 De Laet 6 Wasilewski 7 Morgan 7 Konchesky 7 Knockaert 7 James 7 Drinkwater 7 Dyer 5 Vardy 5 Nugent 5.5
Dickov22 Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 Kasper 7.5 top drawer save in the first half De Laet 6 At fault for the second goal I thought. Wasilewski 7 Didn't track Deeney for the first goal but otherwise a decent performance Morgan 7.5 Played well against a good forward pairing Konchesky 7.5 Thought he made some excellent tackles today. Had loads of the ball- always a good outlet for Kasper Dyer 6.5 An excellent run in the second half and did ok. Scared Watford who moved Anya over to mark him to cope with his pace. Drinkwater 7 What a goal. They overcrowded the midfield which meant he didn't have his usual time on the ball James 8 As above but grew into the game second half. Fantastic endeavour late on in the game with that run- their defender did superbly Knockaert 7.5 Lost the ball a lot but such a brave player- wants the ball all the time and never gives up Nugent 6 Didn't do a lot Vardy 6.5 Not to his usual standards but worked hard Great point for us. Watford defended well. We kept going. Would have liked to have seen Wood come on earlier.
Jollie Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 Schmeichel-was a bit flappy, mega save at the Kop end though-6. De Laet-tried to supporrt play after half time but not quite in the good form we have been used to of late-6 Morgan-enjoyed his battle with Deely-7.5 Wasylewski-was lucky with a couple of passes across the box to Morgan n got caught out of position more than once-5.5 Konchesky-Superb. Advaced further up the pitch like he did when he first came here. Defended well too-7 Knockaert-gave his all. Should have been given the ball more. Was free on the right time & time again-6.5 James-progressively better as the game went on. Worked his socks off-7 Drinkwater-wasnt on the ball in the middle of the park quite was much as usual but was pretty good-7 Dyer-not his day. Was man marked n the they doubled up on him when he had the ball-5 Vardy-ran n ran n ran n ran n ran-6.5 Nugent-decent enough but should have scored 2nd half-6 Mahrez-looks wicked-7 Phillips-gave the defence something to think about-6.5 Wood-I like the Chris Wood song-6
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 Kasper 7. Steady RDL 5 poor by his standards Konchesky 5 see RDL Morgan 7 steady as always Polish lad 6 not at his best Dyer 5 nowhere near his best James 7 instrumental Drinky 6 apart from the goal he was a bit off today Knocky 6 not as good as usual today Vardy 7 for effort alone, didn't get many chances Nuge 5 well off the pace today SUBS Mahrez 5 not on long enough Wood 5 as above Phillips 6 intelligent player Linesman for their goal - 5 billion atrocious

Dyer 2 all you have is pace, so RUN AT THE F**KING FULL BACK! Vardy 8 my MOTM Nuge 6 Phillips 6 Mahrez 5 did we ever get him the ball? Wood N/A
Father Ted Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 Schmeichel 6 - One excellent save (although you'd expect him to make it anyway tbh) but imo could have got closer for the second goal. De Laet 4.5 - Not the greatest of games for him. Looked ill and lethargic. Wasn't up to usual speed and made a terrible error for their second. Morgan 7 - Good game, solid. Wasyl 7 - Same as Morgan. Sharpen those elbows! Konchesky 6 - Steady enough and did his best going forwards, put in more dangerous balls than anybody else in to the box. Knockaert 6 - Ineffective to an extent. Very often crowded out and was doubled/trebled up on. Excellent pieces of skill first half, if that doesn't end up on showboat then I don't know what will! James 7 - My man of the match. Kept things calm and ticking over even when Watford parked the bus. Good goal and nearly single handedly won us the game at the end. Drinkwater 5.5 - Not the greatest of games but cracking goal! Dyer 4 - Terrible. Looked uninterested and scared to take the wing back on. Nugent 5 - Poor. Wasted 2 great chances (one first half when Matty James was running in behind him and second half at the death). Vardy 6 - Closed down well, fed off scraps and struggled to get in behind because of how deep Watford played. Ref - Petulant. Linesman - ****ing useless
DennisNedry Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 Kasper - 7 - One great save. RDL - 6 - At fault for their second goal Wes - 7 Waz - 6 Konch - 5 Knocky - 5 James - 7 Drinky - 6 Dyer - 4 Vardy - 5 Nugent - 4

Thefoxman Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 What game were you watching? Same game as me! I'm in agreement with most of those numbers.
MGLCFC Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 Kasper 6 erratic De Laet at fault for their goal, but kept pressing going forward 6 Morgan - 7 Decent Wasyl - thought he had a decent game - 7 Konch - for me was the best of our defenders 7.5 Knocky - real trier, not everything comes off, but he gives it a go 7 James MOTM for me 8 Drinky - not as good as normal but great goal 6.5 Dyer - better second half, but not at his best 5.5 Vardy - super effort but no real chance to score 7 Nuge - decent effort, should have scored with last kick 6 Subs Mahrez - looks a good prospect 7 Wood ok 6 Phillips - intelligent 7

Kitchandro Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 Schmeichel - 6 - I don't think he had much chance with either goal. He made one great save but also did some silly things in the second which nearly put us in trouble. De Laet - 5 - Created the first goal and got forward well on a few occasions but has to take some blame for the second Watford one. I thought he was very sloppy and lacklustre and times. Wasilewski - 6.5 - Did ok in general but let the ball bounce too many times from long balls. Morgan - 4 - Bullied by Deeney. Not classic Morgan. Konchesky - 6 - Typical Konch. Did some very good things defensively but then some absolutely stupid give-aways to put us under pressure. Knockaert - 5 - A game of 2 halves for Knocky. Lively and hard working in the first, sloppy and lazy in the second. Drinkwater - 5 - He'd be lucky to get a 2 if it wasn't for his point saving wonder strike. James - 7.5 -Didn't do a lot wrong in comparison to other players. Scored the goal to get us back into it and I generally thought he was the big leader on the pitch today. Didn't play amazing but he led by example and positively affected the match. Dyer - 3.5 - Near anonymous. Tried to beat his man once or twice in the whole match. Not his day at all. Nugent - 4 - Too lazy, missed two sitters, generally ineffective. Just annoying to watch. Vardy - 5.5 - The service to him was poor all match. Certainly not at his best but I would rather he wasn't taken off. At least he looks dangerous and can change the game with his pace and work ethic. Subs: Philips - 6.5 - Did decent. Didn't single handedly change the game but was fairly involved. Wood - 6.5 - Looked ok when he came on, again he didn't have much opportunity to score but he put himself about and got involved. Mahrez - 6 - He does look talented but didn't see too much of the ball. We need a chance to see more of him in the coming months.

Fez of Mahrez Posted 8 February 2014 Posted 8 February 2014 Morgan - 4 - Bullied by Deeney. Not classic Morgan. Totally disagree with this. Thought he handled Deeney really well on the whole, especially second half.

He lost the ball a lot but he never ever ever stopped wanting the ball and trying to create things. I simply cannot believe you could describe his performance in that way. Absolutely unbelievable
