SystonFox Posted 28 February 2014 Posted 28 February 2014 Where are we agreeing to mug Lambys winning betting slips then?
Dan Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 I swear every single night before a game I completely lose faith in us to win.
Brooksy Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 As if my first ever game was the last time we beat these in the league. Mental. We've been breaking jinxes all season. Reading, Millwall etc. Let's do it again. Come on City.
Haydos Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 I appreciate that but to say a professional athlete is too tired to perform to a championship standard is pretty stupid, when only playing a game a week which he has been subbed off at the 70 min mark for the past few weeks aswell. Ergh. It's a long season. Please don't tell me you're comparing playing 1 game a week of Sunday league football with the intensity of a professional league. It's more than just physical fatigue, it can be mental and overtraining can cause more injuries. If he's not performing as well as he can then why not give him a break? Nobody is saying we should ditch him, just seems like the perfect time to give Mahrez a start.
weller54 Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Tough game!!.. But even IF we drop points it might not be too disastrous as Burnley and The Sheep play each other.... Just need to maintain the gap between us and 3rd!!... End of!!!!
jmono84 Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 What is that new Vardy song?? Something bout party just can't make out the words.
C-man Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Charlton are 7/1 to win today 8/1 at 365. Or at least they were yesterday.
Ric Flair Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 That's worth £15 to soften the blow if we do lose, I don't think we will but it's a shrewd move.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 8/1 at 365. Or at least they were yesterday. That's worth £15 to soften the blow if we do lose, I don't think we will but it's a shrewd move. It was 6/1 at Coral earlier this morning. I've no shame in admitting I've put £10 on. Pays for tonight if we lose
MGLCFC Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Don't know why but feel a little anxious about this, not helped the fact I've seen loads of single magpie's this morning and whilst I'm not overly superstitious, I now can't get it out of my head. We really should have no problems beating Charlton, but there is always one team in a season that probably does the double over you (eg Peterborough over Cardiff last year) and I've got an awful feeling Charlton maybe that team this season. I'll be glad to get this one out of the way with any kind of win and hopefully the players will look at their past record against Charlton and be eager to put it right.

Bob Weasel Fox Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Tough game!!.. But even IF we drop points it might not be too disastrous as Burnley and The Sheep play each other.... Just need to maintain the gap between us and 3rd!!... End of!!!!Would be great if we could increase the gap though
Happy Fox Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Don't know why but feel a little anxious about this, not helped the fact I've seen loads of single magpie's this morning and whilst I'm not overly superstitious, I now can't get it out of my head. Notts County fans have relationship problems?
crisp packet Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 This season every record, stat and curse etc has been broken ... Kermagant Millwall away Games won in a row Etc etc We will win this !!!
Winnershfox Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 Will be one of our toughest games this season. Charlton need the points and Chris Powell will have them up for this. We will have to be mentally strong and very focussed today. It will be important that we get at them from the off playing high tempo and pressing football. If we start slowly we will be in trouble
Chairman of the Bored Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 The stats suggest Charlton are a bogey side for us, plus they're on the up a bit. I forsee trouble ahead . However, I am minded to recall our 5-0 win at The Valley in 1970 and my butterflies have subsided a little.
foxfanazer Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 I agree it could be a tricky fixture but it's gonna be a hell of a lot tougher for them. We are top on merit and have proven that we can win games in different ways. We can play great football and overwhelm teams and we can dig in amd do the dirty work. 3-1 win. COYB!
Rincewind Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 If you have money on us to lose at least have something on us to win to get your money back when we do win 4-1 Vardy 2 Dyer and Nugent Penalty so it wil1 end 3-1. Edit Knockaert instead of Dyer who is out.
kingfox Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 A bit nervous just because of our recent record against them. Their midfield looks weak though, and the way James & Drinkwater have been playing hopefully we can get the upper hand. 2-0 win I'm going for, quite like Knockaert to score.
Brooksy Posted 1 March 2014 Posted 1 March 2014 When was this out of interest? Last time we beat them in the league? December 2000.
