Bert Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 I am struggling to remember the last time we beat these sods at home? Time to rectify that please, but I think they'll give us a right game. A nice early goal and another to knock their confidence and that'll do me.3-1 at home (Filbert Street) around 00/01. We owe these one.
isleofwightfox Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 I'm going for a 2-0 win - It would be lovely to see city get a bogey team like Charlton out of the way - We don't even have Kermorgant to worry about anymore. Dyer and Nugent to both score beautiful individual goals followed by "I can't hear you" celebrations.
lgfualol Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 Same team I reckon. I want to see Mahrez start but think Nigel will stick with Dyer. They'll just double up on him again though,I miss when Lloyd was marked by one slow RB A close 2-1 win, Dyer and Nugent.
Corky Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 They'll come for a draw, will be up to us to break them down. Hopefully Lloyd will be up for it and we still have the full back threat from Schlupp and De Laet. Vardy is brimming with confidence and Nugent has bagged another, plus Wood from the bench. Should have more than enough to overcome them.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 I'm glad we are playing them at home and not on their stinker of a pitch

We've always had enough to overcome them, but in recent history P10 W0D4L6 We just CANNOT afford to give a goal away and give them something to hang on to, hitting us on the break
Simonb Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 keep the ball on the floor and we'll destroy them... our pace and accurate distribution will be a nightmare for their slow defence... 4-0 Vardy 2 James Knocky (with a worldy)
isleofwightfox Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 They beat QPR on saturday without really looking that much of an attacking threat. Just poor finishing and control in the final third from 'Arry's boys. I think if we can be clinical in the first half we can use our 2nd half form to close out an important 3 points.
Manwell Pablo Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 I am struggling to remember the last time we beat these sods at home? Time to rectify that please, but I think they'll give us a right game. A nice early goal and another to knock their confidence and that'll do me. If you ask me it was the curse of kermit. He's gone now, I can't see anything other than a big win for us but you never know in this league. Bonus for us on Saturday is it's Derby Burnley.
demon_dog Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 Always a tricky one this. Don't forget we lost 2-1 at theirs earlier this season, (albeit down to ten men). Feel we need to score early as the longer the game goes on the more chance they have of nicking a goal or maybe settling for a 0-0 draw. Yes they do look poor, but look what happened to QPR. I'll go for a 2-0 win, with Vardy's pace ripping them apart and KP to score late on.
eastendfox Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 Morrison to score for them from a corner, so we need to get two. And this is where teams in their position to start to scrap for everything. The year we got relegated we went to West Brom, who were promoted, and thrashed them.
Narborough_fox Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 Charlton's starting XI tonight is; Hamer, Wilson, Fox, Morrison, Wood, Cousins, Poyet, Ajdarevic, Jackson, Harriott, Church. By no way their strongest starting XI which means some of their stronger players will have had as much rest as out players. However, with some of their strongest XI starting, especially Poyet and Jackson in central midfield, we could really take advantage of leggy players in the second half if we need to.
Fatty Arbuckle Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 They've signed Tudgay today as well....I'm sure he's another who loves a goal against us. Saying that though I can't see anything other than a home win. Same team, same substitutions made, same scoreline as Saturday.

Poyet has started three games all season, he's hardly starting 11.
harpendenfox Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 one up, and 7 shots to nil up on the in form Sheff Weds after 30 mins. Saturday might be a tougher game that the table suggests
Narborough_fox Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 Poyet has started three games all season, he's hardly starting 11. Started their last 3 games though, tells me that at the moment, he's likely to be one of their starting 11 on Saturday.
Father Ted Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 A scrappy 1-0 victory I hope. A potential banana skin, they always get a result against us, although no Kermorgant anymore.
Stadt Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 I'd take a scrappy 1-0, wouldn't be surprised to see Wood and Magrez to come in or at least come on earlier.
Guest MattP Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 Genuinely think we'll absolutely batter this lot. Owe them a few and they might all come at once.
Guest Col city fan Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 Yet again.. I can't see anything other than a good home win. I must have used that phrase on countless occasions before home matches this season. 3-1 to City.. Vardy, Nuge, Knocky
Dan Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 I am struggling to remember the last time we beat these sods at home? Time to rectify that please, but I think they'll give us a right game. A nice early goal and another to knock their confidence and that'll do me. I'm honestly not sure they've ever lost at this ground.
Guest MattP Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 If we can beat tenth place without getting out of 2nd gear 3-0, these fixtures really should be being brushed aside.
theessexfox Posted 24 February 2014 Posted 24 February 2014 Been to the last three matches against Charlton and we've lost them all, I'm staying away from this one...
