theessexfox Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 Kasper - 6 - Did alright, will be disappointed with himself by the goal but it was tricky De Laet - 6 - Not bad Morgan - 6 - Reasonably solid Was - 6 - Solid Schlupp - 6 - Solid Knockaert - 6 - Cracking goal and tried hard but not much came off Drinkwater - 6 - Under the radar, good work James- 6 - As above Mahrez - 7 - Class player, brilliant on the ball, top finish Nuge - 6 - Linked up play well Wood - 6 - Assist but never really got into it GTF - 5 - Tried to hold it up but never really came off Hammond - 6 - Quiet but solid Dyer - N/A Ratings don't seem too flattering but as Nige said, it was other qualities which won through today

Mark of champions and all that!
bovril Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 From watching on the tele I would agree with most of those, although maybe Schlupp and James deserved a 7.

Will1981 Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 Schmeichel 6 - should have done better with their goalDe Laet 6 - should have gor tighter with Antonio for goalMorgan 7 - very solid as always deserves his shot in the premier leagueWasyl 6 - solid lucky not to be booked for arm in face of AntonioSchlupp 6 - pretty solid his positioning is getting alot betterKnockaert 7 - good free kick and good set-piece deliveryJames 6 - did alrightDrinkwater 7 - fairly goodMahrez 8 made 1 and scored 1 causes all sorts of problems MOTMWood 7 - played very well linked up play well and good assist for Mahrez, we lost momentum when he came offNugent 6 played ok unlucky not to score. GTF - 5 - poor gave the ball away alot.

kingfox Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 Schmeichel 7 - A very very key save at the end, saved our bacon again De Laet 6 - Did alright, but was at fault for the goal, can't go falling over your own feet Wasilewski 6 - Not his best tonight, despite some smashing tackles Morgan 7 - Best of the defence tonight, decent job Schlupp 6 - Had a few nervy moments defensively, struggled to get forward at times Knockaert 7 - So glad he scored, got better as the game went on Drinkwater 7 - Started off slow, but managed to control the game in the second half James 6 - Thought he was poor first half, like Drinky improved in the second Mahrez 8 - Unplayable tonight, excellent display Nugent 7 - First half his work rate was incredible, second half he struggled Wood 6 - He held the ball up well at times, but just didn't get the service tonight
Bert Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 Kasper 6 - Think he should've done better with their goal. A few shaky moments but some good saves too. De Laet 5 - twice before Antonio had scored he cut it from the left and shot. Every time De Laet just stood off and shown him onto his stronger foot. You'd think he'd have learnt his lesson. Don't get me wrong, Antonio was class but thought this was a lazy performance from RDL. Schlupp 6 - His most testing game yet I thought. Caught out of position a few times but otherwise put in a steady shift. Morgan 7 - Battled well against a good striker at this level. Wasyl 6 - Probably could have seen red? Haven't seen it back yet on tv so I don't really know. Sometimes too casual with the ball but he lives to defend. It means something to him. Mahrez 8 - My MOTM. Scored with a lovely finish to set us up and his run created the chance for Knocky to seal the win. He's fantastic when he runs directly at teams. Knocky 7 - An extra point for the wonderful free kick but overall I didn't think he had a great game. I'm glad he's finally scored though because it seems like he's been trying for ages to do something special again. Drinky 6 - Had little space which affected his game. Still tried to run the game for us and never gave up. James 7 - Likes to get stuck in but was good on the ball as well. Nugent 6 - Ran his socks off tonight and put their back line under a lot of pressure. But other than that not a lot happened for him tonight. Wood 6 - Did well to set up Mahrez, but that was his only telling contribution to the game. GTF 6 - A great option to have. Holds the ball up well and for a big bloke he can play. Hammond 6 - Steadied the ship.

Dickov22 Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 Kasper 7 Maybe should have done better for the goal? (Not seen it yet) Great double save late on though De Laet 5 One of his poorer games. At fault for the goal, not close enough. Morgan 8 Outstanding as usual Wasilewski 6 Did his job. Outpaced a lot though Schlupp 6 Not his best game. Mahrez 7.5 Little lightweight but so positive in his play. Really well taken goal too James 8 Composure, positive play, energy. Good performance Drinkwater 6 Did ok but quiet by his standards Knockaert 8.5 MOTM Absolutely everywhere. His desire to win and be positive is a joy to watch. I can forgive his mistakes because he literally covers every blade of grass Wood 6 Some nice touches but kept waiting for the ball to come to him allowing defenders to get there first. I find him frustrating Nugent 7 Plenty of effort. Decent game
Agent Fox Posted 4 April 2014 Posted 4 April 2014 Schmeichel - 7 - Should have done better with their goal, decent on crosses tonight RDL - 6 - Decent, got done a few times though Was - 7 - Elbows Morgan - 7.5 - Dominant Schlupp - 7 - Brilliant self Knocky - 7.5 - Great goal, linked play well Drinkwater - 7 - Good game, good running with the ball James - 6.5 - Prem quality? Not sure Mahrez - 8 - Gem Wood - 6.5 - Decent with ball at his feet, assist too Nugent - 5.5 - Highly unintelligent play
veezeeblue Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 MOTM Knocky - eqsuitite winner - runs his bollox off, get´s better and better Mahrez close second
Grewks Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Kasper 5 - should've saved the goal, doesn't hold onto anything and parries out for a corner far too often, but a decent save late on but it was straight at him. RDL 4 - I knew antonio was one footed, so why didn't he? I was shouting at the Tv screen 'Don't let him inside, don't let him inside, don't let him inside.....great 1-1'. Was 6 - Bit sloppy at times, but finally a 'dirty' player we needed. Wes 7 - solid as ever Schlupp 6 - continues to impress, poor decision which got him booked, but good fitness at the end to get us out with dyer. mahrez 9 - MOTM, won it back countless times, positioning was immense, final balls were quality if vardy was playing he could've had a couple, and his finish was 'World class'. drinky 7 - solid, importantly never went missing james 7 - see above knocky 6 - great free-kick, but contributed nothing else. nuge 6 - ran around more which was a pleasant change, but every attack broke down with him. wood 7 - our best striker tonight. He and mahrez created every chance we had. Won plenty of flick-ons, played plenty of good through balls, and retained possession well. Just a shame he and Mahrez were the only ones that performed in the final third. All in all, solid through the shine, with Mahrez MOTM and Wood impressing with his link up play.
iancognito Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Kasper - Really should have stopped the goal but was maybe unsighted - 6 RDL - Much better. Livelier, got a couple of blocks in and got forward more - 7 Jeff - Assured performance - 7 Wasyl - An absolute rock. Did he elbow the guy? Good. Sport hurts - 7 Wes - Solid as usual but when we get in hole I want to see the captain screaming at the daydreamers - 7 Drinky - A few passes went astray but got better as the night went on - 6 James - Did well, sound performance - 6 Knocky - What a strike! Not everything came off for him but the goal was Premier class - 7 Mahrez - Overplays too much. Needs to learn from how Knockaert's improved. Good finish - 7 Wood - Not his night but also not his fault that we play it long when he's in the team. Offside too much - 5 Nugent - Willing runner for every ball in the channels and unlucky not to curl one in - 7 Subs - GTF - Plays a proper number 10 role and we calmed down a lot when he came on - 7 Hammond - Shored us up for the last few minutes, stopped us getting outnumbered - 6
Guest Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Well what a range of ratings this week. We all seem to have seen a different game. Here's mine: Kasper 6.5 Stopped the long shots well, maybe disappointed with the goal. De Laet 6 Went forward well but was beaten by their impressive winger too many times - didn't get the help he needed Was 5.5 Too many mistakes but everytime he worked had to get back and got away with fouls in dangerous positions. Morgan 7 Good game, did what he needed to do but ought to pass the ball more quickly when caught in attack with it. Schlupp 7 Once or twice out of position but an incredible attacking threat which wasn't seen enough by some of the others. Worked hard to get back on defence. Knockaert 6.5 Cracking goal, but a little off his game most of the night. Worked back well. James 6.5 Soild Drinky 7 can someone be very solid? Mahrez 7 He has class but he needs to find the defensive grit to run back every time. Fantastic goal, got tired before being subbed. Wood 6 some nice layoffs but doesn't have the energy we need in the front line. Nugent 7.5 Ran his ass off, stole the ball and linked very well, unlucky not to get a goal. my MOTM

Fox92 Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Kasper - 6 De Laet - 6 Morgan - 7 Was - 6 Schlupp - 6 Knockaert - 7 Drinkwater - 6 - Not his game yesterday James - 6.5 Mahrez - 7 - Brilliant player, with a brilliant footballing brain Nugent - 6 Wood - 5 - Never seemed to link up well.
Dickov22 Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Astounding that some have given Wood a higher mark than Nugent. Wood mostly waited for the ball and never looked a threat whereas Nugent worked his socks off from start to finish.
harpendenfox Posted 5 April 2014 Posted 5 April 2014 Liked the way Nuge set the tempo with a Vardy style closedown in the first moments last night. Third game in six days for him but showed great energy. Was really hoping Woody would shine last night, but I didn't see all that much from him.

With Wednesday ratings too. Lavery and Antonio showed real quality I have rarely seen down the KP this season. And credit Wednesday for coming for the win.
