Collymore Posted 24 July 2014 Posted 24 July 2014 Konchesky must go or have limited action in the early rounds of the cup. Harsh I know but he's far too slow for the prem.
wakeyfox01 Posted 24 July 2014 Posted 24 July 2014 A new LB is essential. JS is a great young player but seriously if fans believe he can play a full season in the PL as first choice they need a reality check. The PL will be a massive step up and whilst his pace in the championship got him out of trouble more often than not, in the PL he will come up against a different standard. We must remember he has only played at LB as a recent thing. Anyone who has played/coached football will know that changing positions is difficult, especially if you still believe you offer more else where on the pitch. Positionally you never truly adapt and that showed last year for me. JS is much better going forward than defending, by comparison where as RDL is an excellent defender and offers an outlet going forward. I am pretty surprised that fans are turning their nose up at Rose, played very well for Sunderland last year. PL experience, quick, stronger than he looks. Would be a great addition. Rose has only been a left back for a couple of years more than Schlupp has. If he can be converted successfully I don't see why Schlupp can't make the step up.
Banks Posted 24 July 2014 Posted 24 July 2014 Rose would be a brilliant signing, can't see it happening though.

WRONG patrice evra started off as a striker didnt he turn into one of the worlds best LB .... Yes i think he did
VLC86 Posted 24 July 2014 Posted 24 July 2014 Feel free to fill me in on what you know about us going for a left back..... Nothing, But what I know about our transfer policy is that we arent going to shout from the roof tops about who we want to sign.

Far Post Gerry Posted 24 July 2014 Posted 24 July 2014 Think you will find it was Ashley Cole The history books are full of players who changed position then excelled. Ashley Cole, Sol Campbell, Steve Gerrard, er... Alan Smith. If we're not in the market for a LB, Nige must see something in Schluppers.

little Brian Posted 27 July 2014 Posted 27 July 2014 Just spotted on twitter " Lvg has figured Tom Cleverley doesn't fit into his style & Leicester are about to trigger a 7.5m release clause"
johnny the fox Posted 27 July 2014 Posted 27 July 2014 we can keep triggering as many clauses as we like .but he won't come here, we are not going to pay enough salary, and more established clubs are sniffing about the lad.
Matt Posted 27 July 2014 Posted 27 July 2014 Twitter ah, must be true http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/327185.html And TC did a press conference yesterday with Van Gaal, I know that means nothing really, but I doubt Van Gaal would be putting him in a press conference and featuring alongside him so much if he didn't 'fit into his plans'. Whom also captained Man Utd v Roma last night. But if it's on Twitter it must be true.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 27 July 2014 Posted 27 July 2014 I think that us absolute rubbish, like others have stated it would look as though Van Gaal rates him
Focks Posted 27 July 2014 Posted 27 July 2014 LVG maybe giving him a chance to prove himself but I don't really think he's good enough for Man U. Maybe a loan deal could be possible for us?
