ealingfox Posted 7 August 2014 Posted 7 August 2014 I've seen Moralez play but I can't remember his performance But you don't watch it do how do you know it's shit? Ah but I didn't say that did I? I said I haven't watched Atalanta, and by extension these Maxy Morals and David Bravo geezers. In fact I didn't even say that, it was merely implied. Italian sides' performances in Europe in recent years tell you the league has declined. The newspapers and other media tell you about all the corruption and match fixing going on there. And BT Sport, as I said, give you the slow, defensive dirge that is Roma v Inter every now and again. Sorry, but it's shit.
Finnegan Posted 7 August 2014 Posted 7 August 2014 BT Sport has pretty much always got Serie A on. You're right that the quality isn't what it was in the 90s but it's alright. First game I stuck on on a whim last season was Fiorentina beating someone like Genoa something like 4 3 in a thriller followed up by Napoli winning 3 0 or 3 1. It isn't all a snore fest and there obviously are a fair few very tidy players there.
ronnup Posted 7 August 2014 Posted 7 August 2014 Serie A was class last season. Loads of goals and really competitve games.

benpicko Posted 7 August 2014 Posted 7 August 2014 Italy got to the European Championships final in 2012 and suggesting the league is bad because the National team is is just flawed logic. I'd assume by Europe he'd mean the Champions League
Finnegan Posted 7 August 2014 Posted 7 August 2014 I'd assume by Europe he'd mean the Champions League Yeah and he's right. The eurozone crisis has fisted Italian football and even before that it was declining. He's also fair to be cynical, people do get over excited about players they've never seen. But making out like it's impossible to have seen much Serie A when BT sport are basically ramming it and the Bundesliga down everyone's throats is a bit silly. They clearly don't "only show some few top of table clashes." They show almost as much as sky do prem games, or they did whenever I was channel hopping last year. Even Ligue 1 gets shit loads of coverage on BT to be fair to them.
Stadt Posted 7 August 2014 Posted 7 August 2014 The Serie A isn't a total borefest and it isn't as defensive as you think - the days of Catenaccio are long gone.
st albans fox Posted 7 August 2014 Posted 7 August 2014 - the days of Catenaccio are long gone. couldnt we get a last season out of him ?

cjslcfc Posted 7 August 2014 Posted 7 August 2014 Get that wallet out, Vichai! Also, I'm loving the current Argentinian Wave of transfer rumours. It's like Nige feels like Ulloa needs some fellow Argentinians to keep him company! Is that Sebastian Blanco an Argentinian also?
