mozartfox Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 So Upson in and Moore out. Great business. I don't think so. He may well be a target of a lot of Clubs. Could be his 'clown' of an agent at work again. May Nige' needs to bloody this Agent's nose for a second time?
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 Local boy leaves his hometown club after promotion to the premier league? I don't think so, not this summer. #hesoneofourown.
Vlad the Fox Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 If it is Moores agent who Pearson was referring to then the lad needs to **** him off as he isn't representing his best interests and only seems to be serving his own.
NathanC93 Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 Soooooo Connor Wickham @ConnorWickham10 Thanks @iloveamericandy for the treats earlier today! They have gone down far too easy.... What's Connor doing in Leicester?

Happy Fox Posted 28 May 2014 Author Posted 28 May 2014 Probably a wannabe agent and bullshit but hope it is true. Clive Hart â€@CIiveHart 10h Leicester City have enquired about the services of Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley, whose future at Old Trafford is unclear.

Clive Hart â€@CIiveHart 10h Leicester City have enquired about the services of Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley, whose future at Old Trafford is unclear. Could see us make an enquiry and see what price they are looking for. Yes he had a poor season. maybe due to what he was asked to do by Moyes, but he does have class

Clive Hart â€@CIiveHart 10h Leicester City have enquired about the services of Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley, whose future at Old Trafford is unclear. Doubt very much there is any truth in this however didn't Nigel have him here on loan before?
KentyLCFC Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 Yeah we had him on loan before. Also someone told me they spoke to him and he said he loved it here. So there could be some truth in this after all.
65RosesFox Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 I don't think we need him. We need a holding midfielder. He's not that and he's not an attacking threat. He doesn't score enough or get many assists. so would you drop either DD or James for Cleverley....?

lgfualol Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 So if he doesn't hold, create or attack, what sort of midfielder is he? He ensures all attacking play finishes with the ball back at the goalkeepers feet.

I'd happily start the season with those 3.
Solihullfox Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 So we wouldn't want another midfielder schooled in the Man United way, played with James/ DD and was more attacking in his loan spell with us and could quite easily be the same again.......oh and has played on the big stage.........and for England. I'd bite their hand off !

Babylon Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 Anyone saying no to him reads way too much shit in The Sun or The Mirror. Those three in midfield would be fantastic IMO. PS. Doubt it would happen.
65RosesFox Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 We're probably going to be playing with 3 central mids next season. I'd happily start the season with those 3. I wouldn't as it would be too light and we'd get bullied in the middle of the park. As I previously said, we do need another midfielder, but a defensive one, a hard tackling no nonsense type of midfielder. Not another midfielder similar to what we have got. but he's had one bad season In a poor United side so therefore he is now shit I personally don't think he's ever performed that well for Utd, he's always been punching above his weight. He only got England caps because he was playing for a 'big club' Anyone saying no to him reads way too much shit in The Sun or The Mirror. Those three in midfield would be fantastic IMO. PS. Doubt it would happen. I judge him based on what I've seen of him and for Man U he is no way near good enough Don't get me wrong he would do well for a lower Premier League side but it's a type of player we don't really need, unless we were planning on selling King. But we don't need four CM who are very similar. We need a solid defensive midfielder.

But we don't need four CM who are very similar. We need a solid defensive midfielder. 22 games in midfield for a title winning team and you think he's "no way near good enough"? Poor players rarely get that much game time for a title winner. He might not stand out as much as some players, but the lad clearly has talent. Well again I'm going to disagree that we definitely need a "solid defensive midfielder". People said the same last year but I've always said two players with a bit of everything to their game can succeed, just as well as having a specialist attacking player and a specialist defensive one. I think James and Drinkwater have a bit of both about them and suited each other perfectly last year. If we played a three, then again I think three hardworking players who are disciplined (like they all are) could work together. They just need to know their roles well.
XLM Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 Pearson got a lot out of him last time. Linking with Drinkwater and James might well form a very coherent set of Midfield options. The whole world was on his back last season for not being the answer to United's problems. Could do very well in a team with lower expectations.
Robin JD Popley Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 Re: Tom Cleverley. Hi everyone. Got sent a tweet earlier from our friends at the Merc earlier concerning this tweet from Clive Hart who assured me they'd spoken to the 'real' Clive Hart who distanced himself from the story. Love how they used the term 'real' to me but just thought I'd share this info - looks like a non-starter.
Babylon Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 looks like a non-starter. Hardly a surprise plenty of teams much further up the table would snap him up before we ever got the chance. There are some odd people about pretending to be someone else.
