Stadt Posted 18 May 2014 Posted 18 May 2014 This is the only player that we've been linked with that I've been excited about, he seems to a cracking player.
Dan Posted 18 May 2014 Posted 18 May 2014 Echo the sentiments of many here, I'd be very excited if we pulled this one off, looks like a genuinely class midfielder.
Finnegan Posted 19 May 2014 Posted 19 May 2014 He looks top class and of course I'd like him to buy in to Pearson's vision and fit in. But if Nigel doesn't want him or isn't agreeing to the transfer I hope we resist temptation.

Thracian Posted 27 May 2014 Posted 27 May 2014 Wage ceilings are daft. Either you're going to try to sign the players you want or you're just going to be making up the numbers. If I were a player in any team I couldn't give a toss what others were earning so long as I was happy with my own contract. And I'd want the manager signing the best players he could get cos it would bring the best chance of me earning more in the future in terms of win bonuses, league table placing etc.

Within the confines of a set budget, spend it as you see fit for achieving our goals Mr Pearson. How many businesses do you know where everyone needs to earning roughly the same ?

How many businesses do you know where everyone needs to earning roughly the same ? I highly doubt Pearson has had any say in setting wage budgets. That's under Terry Robinson's remit.
Thracian Posted 27 May 2014 Posted 27 May 2014 Sod it lets go an get Ronaldo and Messi then. I don't remember either being linked with the club or with Pearson but I'm sure you'll find a tenuous connection somewhere. Most businesses where people are doing the same job. Which isn't many in my experience. And certainly isn't in football.
