Nod.E Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 If our best starting 11 played this shower http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_1/6437363.stmReally speaks volumes for how far we've come since that ill fated season.Thank you Nige.
MrSpaM Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 "Our target has to be that we get over that 50-points barrier"
BrummieFOX Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 How on earth did the club get 25,000 going to watch that lot?!
Fox92 Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 Thinking back to some of the games during this last decade is just horrible... Sheffield Wednesday defeats at home, 1-3 and 1-4, Sheffield United away when James Beattie scored a hat trick in about 15 minutes, Rotherham beating us on boxing day at home, losing at home 0-2 to Luton...
Big_Nige Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 We've had some shambic players during our premierleague exile. Off the top of my head this is my embarrassing XI but I've probably forgot some right shite. 1. Fat Rab Douglas 2. Alan Maybury 3. Ryan McGiven 4. Darren Kenton 5. Moreno 6. Jason Jarrett 7. Momo Sylla 8. Michael Johnson 9. Elivis Hammond 10. Carl Cort 11. Josh Low Subs 12 Joe Hamill 13. Jonny Hayes 14. John Pansil 15. Michael Ball 16. Michael Lamey 17. Roman Bednar 18. Casino Jimmy
Fox92 Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 Josh Low If he can play for a second tier team then anybody can.
Fox in the North Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 I was gutted when it didn't work out for wes, his leg injuries killed his time with us!
Big_Nige Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 Bobo Balde's nasty pre season tackle really affected his time here. Glad he's doing well at Oldham. Saw him in the white horse at Quorn a few months back. Nice bloke.
westernpark Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 Idiakez now works for us. I seem to remember Nygaard scoring a screamer. Went to see a Hibernian game last year, they had Maybury and Mcgivern playing at either full-back position!
shailen Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 Josh Low nkw plays for Bath city, saw him play for them and he is awful. How did he ever get picked up by our scouting system
Corky Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 God that was depressing. Thank fvck for Nige and his ambition. 13 wins in a season was an achievement, let alone 13 away.
Kitchandro Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 Now it's "Our target has to be that we get over that 100-points barrier"
bovril Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 Newton-Jarrett-Hughes-Yeates Without a doubt the most pathetic midfield in our history. How did we even stay up that season?
Bryn Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 Kelly at least put round pegs in round holes, there were so many years where I couldn't figure out what the team was meant to be. Unfortunately they were shit pegs.
shailen Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 The worst memory was the 07/08 season where Holloway said we were too big to get relegated. Always remember Barry Hayles scoring a last minute winner against Palace and he was assured we wouldn't go down.
HitchinFox Posted 23 April 2014 Posted 23 April 2014 Jarrett now plays for Chester in the Conference. What I'm always so surprised about is how much I (and many others) dislike McGivern - given how few games he actually played for us. He was awful, but he only turned out in 12 league games. Why does he stick in our memory so well? He's always one of the first names to go on an "Alltime worst XI" list? Was it the hair?

I think he just represents everything that was bad about our football club at the time. Another half-hearted loanee just going through the motions.
