St Ledger leaving: Who is actually bothered?

Personally think he's a great defender and is a very good lad to have around the club.

Good luck to him wherever he goes next.

Good when fit, but there lies the problem, he's never fit, well not for most of his contract with us.

Totally agree.

If he stayed fully fit this season I honestly don't think we'd be talking about needing a new centre half next season, as he would've proved his worth as a back up.

Mods don't allow friendly banter anymore.

This forum is for sophisticated poshies.

It has got a little annoying recently with posts getting deleted for seemingly little reason. There was nothing even slightly malicious said in this thread.

Calling somebody weird nowadays, might lead to jumping off Upperton Road bridge, or become depressed & end up self harming.

I also called you cool so that's pretty hefty confidence booster.

I was excited when he joined but he never really amounted to much here.  So not bothered he's going.

Best game is one thing, but his best moment probably was when he scored for Rep of Ireland in the Euros.

Lots of good publicity for Leicester and probably could've sold him for a decent amount then and we'd have been sorry to see him go !!

It's not just fans who are fickle in football, it's fate too.

That's a serious case of Hero Syndrome you've got there.

Again good player but I'm not sure if he always was a good boy? I remember watching him on that Big Ron manager programme when he was at Peterborough and he had a bit of attitude problem, I won't be surprised if Nigel's had a couple of words with him since he's been here.

You haven't called me sexy yet though.

So unfortunately I still have confidence issues, that need addressing.

Very average player who passes through the club without having made any mark or lasting impression other than being symbolic of the Sven era.

St Ledger's problem was always that he believed himself to be a better player than he was. In his eyes he was a ball-playing centre half but in reality he wasn't far from a simple mistake in possession. I always thought that if he stuck to focusing on his defending he would be a much better player for it.

st ledger , the legend that never was

your name should be bellend in rothley for not having a clue. st ledger was half decent and a international player goog luck sean

He clearly wasn't that bothered about trying to become fit again as he was getting smashed most weeks.

If he'd been a car he's one of those you'd have scrapped to save the irritation and expense of having to keep mending the thing. Pity really.

Was better than Mills, guess that doesn't say much. Will make a decent centre half for a mid tableish Champ side, if he can ever get fit. Seems a bit of **** mind but good luck Sean, at least wont see his face round the town centre getting pissed anymore.

Plagued by injury, no doubts he will find another club though. A good championship level player when fit.

Wasyl and Wes are in a different class to him, don't have the same dislike towards him that I did for Danns, Mills or Beckford but to be brutally honest he has been a horrid waste of cash.

I think people are being too kind. He's been pretty gash for us, I can't remember him ever impressing me but I do remember several shocking games. He was average most often.

Since when did 'being a good lad' and 'getting on with the other players' count as some sort of asset in professional football?

Not his fault if hes on a decent wage.

Always looked like he was trying

Wasnt a bad player when he did get on the park.

Not sad to see him go... but respect and thanks for his efforts

Not arsed. He's never been anything but average for us and with him being signed in summer 2011, that pretty much has him as a banker for being on more than he's worth.
