GTF gets his extended..

Pearson has said everyone will get a chance in the prem from this season. GTF is still a good player. He was Blackpools best player in the prem and he can hold the ball up and create chances. He's decent at finishing too. Happy :schmike:

Good squad player

If nothing else we seriously lack prem experience in our squad. His alone could be worth it. And he deserves it based on performances in fairness.

what makes me laugh is how everyone still goes on about his weight like its a big surprise! yes we all know hes carrying some extra timber, but I honestly like gtf, hes got an amazing touch, which most people done expect, he can hold the ball up well, his goals so far have all been good finishes, happy for him

He wont get near the team but he's not as bad as everyone makes out. Plus he's one of the few in the squad with PL experience.

Don't get why everyone makes out GTF is awful. He has done a very good job in any game he has played.

Not everyone. A lot of us think he thoroughly deserves an extension.

There's a lot worse currently in the Premier League that's for sure.

In Nigel we trust!

Surely we're holding onto him as a backup option for out wide where we don't have as much depth - especially if Lloyd doesn't sign.  I don't get all this talk of it affecting our strikers.

Hopefully.

I Can't understand it if Pearson or anyone would rather keep a 30+ overweight bloke who's  time is running out over a young lad who's definitely showed some potential and has scored more goals.

On the other hand his wife is fit.

Remember we need players like him for fa and league cup!

Imagine the state of him in pre season after a summer of skol and steak pies :nigel:

Dont get the negativity.  He's worth a place for his experience.  Last seasons squad

Kasper Schmeichel
Conrad Logan

Wes Morgan
Sean St Ledger
Liam Moore
Ignasi Miquel
Marcin Wasilewski
Paul Konchesky
Zoumana Bakayogo
Ritchie de Laet
Jeffrey Schlupp

Danny Drinkwater
Dean Hammond
Matty James
Andy King
Lloyd Dyer
Riyad Mahrez
Anthony Knockaert

Gary Taylor-Fletcher
Jamie Vardy
Kevin Phillips
David Nugent
Chris Wood

23 players.  Take out Miquel, Phillips & possibly St ledger. That leaves 20.  As someone else said Moore, King and Schlupp don't count.  If that's correct then we have a squad of 17.   And that includes Dyer, Bakayogo & GTF

If NP buys 8 I'll be well chuffed.

Unsure if people are taking the piss or not but didn't he have it written into his contract that if he played a certain number of games then an extension clause in his original contract would be activated?
