HitchinFox Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 People saying Burnley are shit...did they watch our game yesterday or have they not seen any of our last 4 games, they were better today than we have been in the last 4, ultimately they got the same results but they didn't play are dire as we have, that counts for nothing I know but its abit of encouragment rather than playing shit and losing. Eh? I would turn that completely around. As you've said, we've been playing below our level in the last four games and the results we've had reflect that. Meanwhile, Burnley have been playing as well as they can, but even with near-maximum level performances (minus Vokes, of course, his return may change things) they are still losing games. So at least personally, I'd rather be us - not getting results because we're not playing well. Burnley are playing their best and still getting spanked
bovril Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 There is such a long time still to go, plenty of sides have been in worse positions than us and survived. I can accept people being annoyed at recent results and performances but there is a feeling that we are doomed in October when we are still clear of the bottom two currently. Stoke had a brilliant season last year, plenty of plaudits for their style and getting results as well. Anyone know or remember that they were 17th in February? I don't want to be the harbinger of doom!... but the sides that have been down there and stayed up usually have a couple of seasons in the Prem under their belt. It's tough for a newly promoted team to stay up if you get sucked in to a relegation dogfight. still.... I think we'll stay up. One has to, right?

Not necessarily, Wolves, QPR, Southampton, Stoke in their first season, WBA in 2011 were all involved heavily in a relegation battle and managed to pull themselves clear. It is so tight at the moment, win next Saturday and we could rise five or six places possibly. We have a gap to the bottom two and are far closer to 10th place.

RowlattsFox Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 Not sure how burnley were better today than we have been recently? We are both shite at the minute, difference being we can perform better. Obviously disappointed to be 17th but we can't panic yet, teams go through stages in this league. Hopefully we come out of our poor stage before too much damage is done.
65RosesFox Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 Hahaha 17th!!!!! Load of wank Yes finishing 17th at the end of the season would be wank.... Did some fans really think we would go throughout the whole season without being close to or in the bottom three at some point.
Dan Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 All the bollox spouted in here after the man u game it was only ever going to bite us in the arse. And it is one set of huge jaws in our arse atm. No-one genuinely saw us imploding like this though. I talked us up after the Man Utd game as we fully deserved it. Since then we've played like a side who want to get out the league as soon as possible, out of absolutely nothing.
ScouseFox Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 how has rafael been man us first choice right back for about 3 years he is f ucking diabolical
ScouseFox Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 gary Neville "it just looks like fabulous defending to me" as replays show Smalling had ivanovic in the world's tightest headlock
Corky Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 Neville was wrong about Rooney, there have been no League Cup games since he was sent off so his suspension wouldn't have been completed in fewer days.
ealingfox Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 Whacked a fiver on 0-0 pre-match, waiting for the right moment to cash out. EDIT: Cvnts.
ScouseFox Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 Yes drogbaaaaaa chelsea league winning date guesses everyone? I'll go late March.
Stadt Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 I think one of the reasons that Chelsea are so good is physical they can be, something that we desperately lack.
BlueSi13 Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 Hunk chunk of standard Old Trafford fortune but I have seen nothing to suggest that Chelsea won't romp away with this league. So much so that I almost can't see them being beaten this season.
Vacamion Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 You have to say Fellaini and Shaw were both much improved. Decent game at times...
StanSP Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 Jammy bastards. Undeserved in the sense that Utd didn't attack much. Chelsea should have buried this match way before Utd scored.

StanSP Posted 26 October 2014 Posted 26 October 2014 Actually agree with Neville, thought United were better first half, which is easy to forget. I wasn't listening to any commentary so not sure what he said specifically. Just saying that Chelsea had more than enough chances to get more than just the single goal. First half Utd were better. Chelsea wasted & slowed down attacks in the first half partly thanks to Drogba. Some wrong decisions/passes made when attacking.
