bovril Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 To be fair Sunderland have six fingers, slight advantage for them.
ousefox Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Very worried about next week. Don't think we'll win and Hull will beat Burnley and don't trust Everton against Sunderland
shailen Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Anyone criticizing other teams folding, look at Newcastle today. They were not interested today, even though we were excellent.
Guest Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 I think Burnley will win next week. If West Brom lose today we're only 3 pts behind them with a better GD.
Tielemans63 Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 I think Newcastle fans should be sweating. I can see then losing all their remaining games
Captain... Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Disgusting performances from Liverpool, Everton and Southampton this week. Abysmal. Bit harsh on Liverpool seeing as they won. The only consolation is that we only need to finish in front of 1 of the three other teams: villa, newcastle and Sunderland. Keep up our current form and were bound to stay up. Four teams, you forgot Hull. It's in our hands. If we win out then we survive. I haven't mentioned Sunderland. It is also in Sunderland's hands, if they win all of their remaining games they stay up. We are both in control of our destiny, of course we could both stay up if Newcastle continue on this run, and Hull's results go to form.
Guest Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 QPR will probably be relegated before their next match. Burnley MUST beat Hull to keep any hope of survival - I think they can do us a favour.
Jimothy Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Pulis reckons Lescott has played most of his Premier League games at left back?!?! Must have missed those three successful years he had playing centre back for Everton, earning him a big money move to Man City where he played centre back for most of their first Championship winning season.
Raw Dykes Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 West Brom aren't safe yet. They play Newcastle next week. Assuming WBA lose at Old Trafford tonight, if we can beat Southampton, we will catch the losers of that match, or Newcastle if they draw. It's a shame that Hull, Villa and Sunderland are picking up results, but looking at the table, there are 5 teams within touching distance around us, and we only have to end the season above one of them to survive. We're in the best form out of any of them, so things could be worse.
Guest Bilo Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Hull could get battered by Arsenal, and that would put them below us.
Fox92 Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Burnley have a good recent record against Hull, wouldn't be surprised to see Burnley get something there.
Guest Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Hull could get battered by Arsenal, and that would put them below us. Please Burnley have a good recent record against Hull, wouldn't be surprised to see Burnley get something there. I think they'll be up for one final hurrah! They need to score first though.
Webbo Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 I think if we get a point next week Burnley are down anyway.
Guest Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 I think if we get a point next week Burnley are down anyway. Nah - they can get 35
weller54 Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Hull could get battered by Arsenal, and that would put them below us. Watch the buggers sneak a 1-0 win against Arsenal... Wouldn't shock me!!!
Stan Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Hull and Newcastle must be bricking it. And, I reckon, West Brom.
lifted*fox Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Bit harsh on Liverpool seeing as they won. I was talking about their completely gutless display against Hull on Tuesday.
Fox92 Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Don't know why people call teams this and that. "Oh they were gutless" etc. We can't influence other results. If we beat teams such as Hull and West Brom at home then maybe we wouldn't be in this position relying on other results.

Don't get me wrong I was slagging Gerrard off for missing the peno, I was cheering Southampton on as it'd have helped us out but on reflection we've done as much as we can do to today, we won. That is all we can affect, we've got ourselves in this mess and it looks like hopefully we're getting ourselves out of it. Other results going our way are more than welcome but we can't affect or be relying on them.
cjslcfc Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 I think it's safe to say Pearson won't be letting the lads worry about what everyone else is doing. The focus, drive and effort of this team at the moment is spot on. In fact it's amazing considering the position we were in.
Jimothy Posted 2 May 2015 Posted 2 May 2015 Just seen the most amazing thing I've ever seen in a game of football. Ashley Young tried to stay on his feet!
