Unabomber Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 How can one like Man U and dislike Arsenal? That's nuts man Arsenal are wicked.
Mayofox Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 I have to wonder who will want the Newcastle job, especially whilst Fat Mike is there. Wonder if we will see them make a move for Steve McClaren this week, bearing in mind Derby are staying put? He couldn't lose if he did; keep em up & he's a local hero, go down & it's not his team.
benpicko Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 Mostly just Arsenal. Quite like Chelsea, quite like Man Utd (Albeit that was under Fergie - Not so keen since he left), used to like Liverpool but bored of their self pity and they make everything seem like they're hard done by. Not really keen on Man City - They just don't sit right as a top club tbh and they've been bang average this season and obviously despise Arsenal. What's your issue with Arsenal that can't also be applied to the others?
Matt Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 What's your issue with Arsenal that can't also be applied to the others? Arsehole Wenger. And the Arsenal fans (Although that can be applied to a maority of the top teams really).
HEGGSY Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 Mourinho supposedly pointed at the palace fans and gave a thumb up as well as apparently mouthing "good fans" before turning around to the Chelsea fans behind him and making a "sleeping" gesture.
Captain... Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 It said on MOTD that Jefferson Montero was the 2002nd player to score in the premier league. Just wondering who was the 2000th as that seemed to pass without any recognition.

Siem De Jong for Newcastle v Swansea being the 2001st.

Carl the Llama Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 Playing Devil's advocate for a second, the events of the past week could well be the kick up the bum their players need to kick on and start picking up points again. Hopefully not though.
1993fox Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 I don't really understand the hate for Arsenal. Apart from ridiculously overcharging their own supporters and growing by buying in foreigners rather than grooming domestic talent in the 90s-00s I think they've gone about football the right way, more so than other clubs in the top. Not many Arsenal supporters irritate me although tbf I've never been around Londoners too much anyway

Not many Arsenal supporters irritate me although tbf I've never been around Londoners too much anyway They may not have groomed their own players but they invested (speculated) some serious money in young unproven English players, Walcott (£5M) , Chamberlain (£15m) and recently Chambers (£16m). There's als0 Gibbs and Wilshire. i think they compare favourable with the other top 4/5 clubs certainly in recent times.

Exactly I'd much rather Arsenal win the league over Chelsea/city/united/liverpool. Have far more respect for them over the other clubs' recent histories. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I ****ing hate Spurs

You could argue that Man Utd have invested as much money in (admittedly 'proven') British players: Jones, Smalling, Shaw, Young, Rooney and grooming Cleverley, Wellbeck and Powell.
Corky Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 It's quite amusing seeing these managers come out and say that they have to respect people and behave properly. I'll remember that the next time Wenger doesn't shake the opposition manager's hand or pushes Mourinho and when Steve Bruce squares up to an opponent in the dugout or rants at referees*. Total hypocrites, all managers disrespect people in some way, step down from the moral high ground. *Chose those examples because Wenger and Bruce both spoke about respect last week.
bluesbrothers Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 I hope John Carver hasn't been sacked. New manager syndrome will get them at least 1 win. They could appoint Pol Pot as manager and play that lot at gunpoint, and they'd probably decide to take the bullet to the skull rather than step up and fight for their place.
Guest Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 The day that football sorts out it's "respect everyone" problems is the day the earth implodes. I'd love Football to adopt the Rugby approach with players and referees on the pitch. End the bad language and ref attacks, only the captain to speak to the ref, extra 10 yards for non-respect. etc...
The Horse's Mouth Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 Terry's dig at Rafa was utterly bizarre, what an insecure twat he really is
theessexfox Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 Don't blame him one bit, he's utterly proven Rafa wrong, I'd be pissed off at him too.

I didn't say they hadn't I just suggested arsenal compare favourable with them and others. It'll be interesting to see how many are still with them in a season or two.
Dan Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 I bet you anything West Brom fold at Newcastle. I don't think they've done us a single favour all season, the utter helmets.
Guest Bilo Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 I bet you anything West Brom fold at Newcastle. I don't think they've done us a single favour all season, the utter helmets. They did surrender the lead twice at theirs and turned Saido Berahino into Stevie Wonder for one game only, so they haven't been entirely ungenerous.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 Don't blame him one bit, he's utterly proven Rafa wrong, I'd be pissed off at him too. What? Rafa's comments were on the back of a 2 month injury, therefore he wasn't match fit enough to be playing as frequently. Let's not be kidding ourselves anyway, when Chelsea played positive football under both Rafa and AVB, Terry was completely shown up for the fraud he is.
