Narborough_fox Posted 31 May 2014 Posted 31 May 2014 The squad has already been cut down to 24 and most people expect the 1 further player cut will be a defensive midfielder as they have 3 in the squad.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 31 May 2014 Posted 31 May 2014 That's an absolute guilt edge chance for Riyad. If that's on his left foot it's 3-0. I'm no pedant and I'm a Narborough_Fox fan, but it's gilt-edged. "Guilt Edge" makes literally no sense although it does sound like a band name.
MC Prussian Posted 31 May 2014 Posted 31 May 2014 One could say Riyad is halfway there. Great game by our Algerian there. Fingers crossed he makes the cut. Looking forward to the last prep game against Romania.

Stadt Posted 31 May 2014 Posted 31 May 2014 Romania aren't a bad side, what was there qualifying group like?
Narborough_fox Posted 31 May 2014 Posted 31 May 2014 Romania aren't a bad side, what was there qualifying group like? Algeria played Armenia, not Romania. Anyhow, Armenia's group was; Team Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts Italy 10 6 4 0 19 9 +10 22 Denmark 10 4 4 2 17 12 +5 16 Czech Republic 10 4 3 3 13 9 +4 15 Bulgaria 10 3 4 3 14 9 +5 13 Armenia 10 4 1 5 12 13 −1 13 Malta 10 1 0 9 5 28 −23 3

Fair enough, didn't spot that. Romania got through to the play-offs but lost to Greece 4-2 on aggregate. This was their group; Team Pld W D L GF GA GD Pts Netherlands10 9 1 0 34 5 +29 28 Romania 10 6 1 3 19 12 +7 19 Hungary 10 5 2 3 21 20 +1 17 Turkey 10 5 1 4 16 9 +7 16 Estonia 10 2 1 7 6 20 −14 7 Andorra 10 0 0 10 0 30 −30 0 Yeah, Armenia's group was really tight, they battered Denmark 4-0 away so they showed they're no pushovers so today was a handy performance from both Algeria and Mahrez.

MPH Posted 31 May 2014 Posted 31 May 2014 Just glad we got Mahrez when we did. Would of been much tougher competition to get him after the world cup , if he goes and should he play like this on the world stage...
Unabomber Posted 31 May 2014 Posted 31 May 2014 The more I see Mahrez the more embarrassed I am for every other Premier League team's scouting networks.
KFS Posted 31 May 2014 Posted 31 May 2014 What a fvcking cvnt on MUTV. "Jeff Schlupp showing why centre forwards shouldn't play in defence" 102 points you utter, utter bellend.
Fox_in_spain Posted 31 May 2014 Posted 31 May 2014 Schlupp started very nervously, possibly at fault for the first goal, though the entire defence was to blame, left him with too much to do. He's got much better though, a few flashes of brilliance, decision-making a bit lacking at times. Hope he gets a chance in the second half to continue his improvement. Seems to be dividing opinion on Twitter hugely, some singling out as the best player on the pitch, other slagging him off no end. Come on Jeffrey!
