Fox92 Posted 20 May 2014 Posted 20 May 2014 I wouldn't want him here. Overrated. He is. Looks average when they play in Europe. And I've just realised this is in transfer talk

Guest Posted 20 May 2014 Posted 20 May 2014 He is. Looks average when they play in Europe. And I've just realised this is in transfer talk I have a horrible feeling you're not even joking. I hope you are.
Danizen Posted 20 May 2014 Posted 20 May 2014 I've only just seen the story that this is referring to. Madness! If he does leave (and he doesn't just want a new contract), he's had this planned and it's nothing to do with how well Man City celebrated his birthday.
Fox92 Posted 20 May 2014 Posted 20 May 2014 I have a horrible feeling you're not even joking. I hope you are. Not saying he's a bad player, but "the best midfielder in the World" I don't agree with because he doesn't look as good as other midfielders when he's playing in Europe...
Stuliasz Posted 20 May 2014 Posted 20 May 2014 Our track record with players from Man City isn't great, steer clear!
sylofox Posted 20 May 2014 Posted 20 May 2014 If he buy's his contract out we could get him on a free.
oxford blue Posted 20 May 2014 Posted 20 May 2014 ...provided the Srivaddhanaprabha's agree to shake his hand on his birthday. An extra attraction would be to agree to put candles on the cake. A few balloons as well and I'm sure he'll sign...

Guest Col city fan Posted 20 May 2014 Posted 20 May 2014 I do feel for Yaya. He clearly thinks he's not earning enough money or he's not loved enough, or both. Bless him. Barca can have him. Let's get Nick Powell.
Guest MattP Posted 20 May 2014 Posted 20 May 2014 Not saying he's a bad player, but "the best midfielder in the World" I don't agree with because he doesn't look as good as other midfielders when he's playing in Europe... Let's be honest, when Man City have came up against Dortmund, Munich and Barca Yaya despite how brilliant he is has looked miles of his depth. He's perfectly suited to the Premier League with his pace and power, but a clear reason why he couldn't cut it at Barcelona in La Liga and thats the fact he struggles to play quick passes and his touch often isn't the best..
MPH Posted 20 May 2014 Posted 20 May 2014 in case there is someone who just got back from climbing everest and dont know what this is about.... His agent has been saying some pretty strange stuff... "None of the owners shook his hand on his birthday. It's really sick," Seluk said. ( thats supposedly the reason he wants to now leave Man City...) Edit: Just seen the other thread. So pleased at my lightening quick response to this situation and informing everyone.
Guest MattP Posted 21 May 2014 Posted 21 May 2014 Officially a worse excuse than Papiss Cisse last season for trying to leave.
Danizen Posted 21 May 2014 Posted 21 May 2014 Stolen from Facebook: BREAKING NEWS: Manchester United have quietly Cancelled Marouane Fellaini's Birthday Celebrations and crossed their fingers.. lol
Guest Col city fan Posted 21 May 2014 Posted 21 May 2014 This saga leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. Of course, if it was a Chelsea player or, heaven forbid, a QPR player, the club would probably be blamed for signing 'big time, overpaid prima donnas'. For some strange reason, because Toure is at Man City, it's made into a joke because City aren't seen in the same light. For me, Man City epitomise everything that is wrong about the modern game. They buy up players like Scott Sinclar, make him a multi-millionaire overnight and effectively his footballing days (you know, that thing that he's meant to be doing to 'earn' a salary) are over. They did pretty much the same with Adam Johnson, until he was given a get out clause. Then there was the Tevez nonsense and now Yaya Toure. It's clear that such players join the club for one thing and one thing only... money. There is no loyalty to the club. Both Toure and Tevez believe that they are bigger than Man City and can do what they want. I still have this romantic notion that some players (not all), sign for Liverpool or UTD because they want to be well-paid, but also because they actually want to play for these clubs. Not so Man City, I don't think. Its merely a pay day for them. And a huge one at that. Wayne Bridge on what? 90k per week? Pah... utter fookin nonsense.

Chelsea are far worse for doing that, how many young players have they got signed up and sent out on loan? Courtois has spent three years on loan at one club. They give teenagers contracts worth over a million pounds. Adam Johnson played a lot of games for Man City, so I don't know why you are including him. Your romantic notion is just that, players go for money and I don't know why fans get so attached to it all. Rooney has handed in transfer requests yet receives a five year, £300k a week contract? The fans booed him but now sing his name. This episode is sad and depressing but it's hardly confined to Man City alone, their players just have different ways of expressing it.
