Dan Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 If it's any consolation I'd be surprised if he cost us seven figures.
Brooksy Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 Is there a striker in Holland that doesn't score 30 goals a season?
andog Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 Personally think he doesn't look that great if I'm honest. Reminds me of an old video I watched of Futacs when we bought him.
Guest seanfox778 Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 Wasn't Ricky Van Wolfswinkel a Dutch goal scoring sensation too?
Stadt Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 Wasn't Ricky Van Wolfswinkel a Dutch goal scoring sensation too?In Portugal
Bayfox Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 Managed to get in touch with the leicester branch of the excelsior supporters club. He actually knows a lot of people at the club. They take great pride in having an English fan who travels to watch them. We got tickets in directors box, players lounge when we went. Seems the player wants to stay in holland and is keen on a move to heerenveen. But interest from us is genuine.
dylanlegend Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 Considering he's 6ft5 he doesn't score many / any with his head.
Jam Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 I'm always sceptical about unknown strikers coming from Holland with prolific goal scoring records. Afonso Alves Georgios Samaras
Guest Posted 23 May 2014 Posted 23 May 2014 On the YouTube video he looks great. But have a look at the best of Yann Kermorgant: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQlEHlnnteg Now there's a class-act striker. Just sayin' Beautiful penalty at 1:08...
NathanC93 Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 Forest make a bid? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2639082/Cardiff-set-snap-former-Manchester-United-striker-Federico-Macheda-Blackburn-Rovers-list-six-players.html Nottingham Forest have made an offer for Excelsior striker Lars Veldwijk, 22, while Wolves are signing former Peterborough midfielder Tommy Rowe as they prepare for life back in the second tier.
Claridge Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 This guy sounds like he might be good in the air, able to hold the ball up and a goal-scorer. How is that similar to Wood ?!?! disimilar I think that's a word? but if he can do all that then he's the complete opposite to Wood as you say
lgfualol Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 Forest make a bid? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2639082/Cardiff-set-snap-former-Manchester-United-striker-Federico-Macheda-Blackburn-Rovers-list-six-players.html Nottingham Forest have made an offer for Excelsior striker Lars Veldwijk, 22, while Wolves are signing former Peterborough midfielder Tommy Rowe as they prepare for life back in the second tier. haven't they got enough players?
Brooksy Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 Looks like Forest are returning to 'if Leicester are interested then so are we' approach.

the_enlightened_one Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 I say we sign him and send him out on loan to Derby just to annoy Forest. Let's be honest if Leicester and Forest both went for the same player there's only one club who will come out on top, and it ain't Forest.
Solihullfox Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 Looks like Forest are returning to 'if Leicester are interested then so are we' approach.Let's start the "Leicester want free agent D J Campbell back at the KP to spearhead the attack in the Premier " stories !

Steven Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 "Leicester plan £5 million swoop for Elvis Hammond second spell" Don't you mean spring him from gaol for a second spell.
Stadt Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 On football manager Elvis Hammond's first touch rating is 15. Presumably it's because his ankle kills the ball by giving in
Raw Dykes Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 Great scrabble word the surname Not really. Proper nouns aren't allowed.
deep blue Posted 26 May 2014 Posted 26 May 2014 haven't they got enough players? But they're all injured.
