foxes_rule1978 Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 Some people just don't get it do they. Then again Leicester does have 1 thing London doesn't. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, the world class, national space center. F**k YEAH!!!!
artursteppe Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 London is to visit. Place of work, our training facilities and ground against Crystal Palace. No contest! If he chooses Palarse we don't want him anyway. You would be quite dim to do that!
Daveaway Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 Palace training ground is gash been there with my kids when they play footy there, their ground is gash, only reason he go there is for the cash!!!!!
Harry - LCFC Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 Do players really choose clubs based on training grounds? I wouldn't. Seems very unimportant.
Soup Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 Leicester any day. London is the biggest shit hole. So over rated. If you actually mean that I suggest you start living
NewburyFox Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 Do players really choose clubs based on training grounds? I wouldn't. Seems very unimportant. Players spend the vast majority of their working time there, I'd suggest that it's one of the most important factors to consider. Having quality facilities like ours will be a huge pull for players.
Rich Fox Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 If you actually mean that I suggest you start living I agree with him and have lived in London, it's a very over rated City. It's usually kids who have never left there home town that think the grass is greener in London. Most people move there because they can't find work where they live not by choice and then go on to claim there lives are so wonderful but it's usually all bullshit.
Soar Fox Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 Went London in April for a stag do. Really dislike the place, everyone rushing around, nobodies friendly, expensive. But that's just me, my sister lives in southfields and she absolutely loves it. Though my dad didn't get much house for his money when he bought it her 2 years ago.
Banks Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 If you actually mean that I suggest you start living This.
Nickfosse Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 Why all the London talk? Palace play in Croydon which is certainly not as pleasant as Leicester
lgfualol Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 He'll definitely prefer living in Leicester. All the charity shops on the high street will suit a footballer perfectly.

I wasn't on about living and working in London,I can imagine it's a tough place to live without a big income and plenty of mates but as a City we're truly dull.I've been around the world as well so can compare.Saying that I'll never leave.
Finn Claw II Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 Guy with MASSIVE income chooses city with better restaurants, museums, theater, parks, river, pubs, night clubs, shops, nice parts of town, international connections, better looking women, markets.... Come on Leicester has some great countryside but the city is dross If you wants a good Wilkinsons though, now your talking
Guest Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 It'll come down to the club surely. He might prefer nights out in London but the idea that Frazier Campbell would live in Mayfair is ridiculous. even footballers would struggle win some areas of London and they can't afford to live to their earnings as a player like Campbell who won't bring in Ronaldo-esque commercial earnings can't afford to spend all his wages before his career ends as they might have to last another 50 years. Football isn't a normal career. Not saying he wont pick London because of other reasons, but not because he'd be living in an A1 area. He'd have to commute in by car.
Dan Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 Leicester any day. London is the biggest shit hole. So over rated. Leicester is not a nice place. I'm sorry. There is absolutely no way a player would choose us over a London club based on location.
Guest ttfn Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 Leicester is not a nice place. I'm sorry. There is absolutely no way a player would choose us over a London club based on location. Having seen next to none of Leicester I wouldn't wish to comment, but the number of people (particularly wealthy footballers) who come out and say that the allure of living in London is part of what attracted them to their place of work is too significant to ignore. Personally I think London is a fantastic city. People may prefer their home towns but if you're choosing between 2 places that aren't home, I can't imagine many would choose Leicester over London.
HankMarvin Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 Leicester any day. London is the biggest shit hole. So over rated. London is a big place, with such a rash statement I expect that you have explored the majority of it?
Nickfosse Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 Was it not Samuel Johnson who remarked, "when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life." Not sure what he had to say about Croydon though...
Guest Col city fan Posted 4 July 2014 Posted 4 July 2014 I love London. I'd like to live in one of the suburbs and be able to jump on a tube to get in whenever I fancied. Won't happen of course.. ridiculously expensive

Won't happen of course.. ridiculously expensive Takes me half an hour door-to-door to get to work in Mayfair (humbebrag?)And Campbell could live wherever he wanted in that City on the sort of money he'd be paid. Honestly, don't knock a place until you've lived there (not directed at you Col). Except Luton.
