Happy Fox Posted 24 June 2014 Posted 24 June 2014 He is a workaholic like Vardy and he will score a fair few as well. Good signing imo.
muzzy1981 Posted 24 June 2014 Posted 24 June 2014 This has to be getting close now http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/cardiff-striker-campbell-ready-join-leicester-4027894
LCCFox96 Posted 24 June 2014 Posted 24 June 2014 The more I think about it, the more I think Campbell could do a job for City. I hope we get the deal done. Not to lose Nugent though. Id like both options at the club. This. Add another big 'target man' type striker and that should be the strike force sorted.

Toffee_Fox Posted 25 June 2014 Posted 25 June 2014 We're hoping to open up personal terms with him this week. #ITK
Mark_w Posted 25 June 2014 Posted 25 June 2014 You realise I wasn't actually claiming to be in the know right? Your tweet was right above his post asking if there was any new info, it clearly wasn't me claiming to know anything more than you've told us. It was a joke.
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 26 June 2014 Posted 26 June 2014 And that So what's wrong with the other ? Are you trying to say something ? Do you know something we don't ?
sidavies1970 Posted 26 June 2014 Posted 26 June 2014 He's a good player but goes missing a lot in my opinion. Game changer off the bench though so would be happy at the right price
Candidcamera Posted 26 June 2014 Posted 26 June 2014 He might set the premiership alight. He has a really good team setting up the chances.

Ric Flair Posted 26 June 2014 Posted 26 June 2014 For the price and the style of play, he's definitely worth adding to the squad. There will still be one more striker come in who i'd expect to be our ' main ' striker. That will be someone who can play up front on his own and fit in with how we want to play. I can see Vardy playing a lot but maybe in a wider position, with Nugent if he stays and Campbell as squad players. I think Wood will be out on loan by mid-September.

But don't get me wrong Vardy was a great player last season but he needed a year to settle. I just wonder why so many think he's going to be our number one striker. I can see him getting a run and as much as his running and off the ball work is great he's got to score goals. Unlike other sides that limp up and may go under the radar I would think prem sides kept an eye on us. Plus if he is as affective in the first few games as he was last season he will attract a lot of attention.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 26 June 2014 Posted 26 June 2014 It's like that, and that's the way it isThis is trueOr should I say that is true Or maybe the other is true!?
Sharpe's Fox Posted 26 June 2014 Posted 26 June 2014 Agree that Vardy may find himself playing wide left in a forward three, especially versus top sides.
chicagofox Posted 26 June 2014 Posted 26 June 2014 Agree that Vardy may find himself playing wide left in a forward three, especially versus top sides. Why would Vardy play wide left ahead of Mahrez, Knockaert, or Albrighton?
yorkie1999 Posted 26 June 2014 Posted 26 June 2014 Why would Vardy play wide left ahead of Mahrez, Knockaert, or Albrighton? Because that's how it works on here, you make something up, someone agrees and it becomes fact.

What I mean is I think he'll start the season as our number 1 striker and if he continues his rise then he'll do well and stay in there. I think his pace will still be devastating in the Premier League.
Ric Flair Posted 26 June 2014 Posted 26 June 2014 Why would Vardy play wide left ahead of Mahrez, Knockaert, or Albrighton? None of them play there though. All 3 could play there but all of them much prefer to play right wing. I can see Nigel wanting to shoe horn 2 strikers in but not necessarily play 2 up top at all times. Modern day football sadly.

Beliall Posted 26 June 2014 Posted 26 June 2014 Vardy will do fine. Championship to prem is not as big a jump as non league to champ
