Pen 3 Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 With the (initial) fixture list announced on the 18 June who would you like to see us up against and why? I fancy Man U at the KP - a nervy start for them, they won't have had us watched last season, and their form last season has to have affected confidence...little issue of new boss trying to sort things out too. Capacity crowd. What do you think?
kingcarr21 Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 Man city away. 1st game of the season. Massive upset. 3 points. job done
BrummieFOX Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 Burnley at home For me that would be the worst possible fixture. I'd go for Utd (home) or Villa (away).
foxfanazer Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 For me that would be the worst possible fixture. I'd go for Utd (home) or Villa (away). I desperately want it to be a home fixture and the easier the better for me. A good start could be pivotal imo
BrummieFOX Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 I desperately want it to be a home fixture and the easier the better for me. A good start could be pivotal imo Yea, completely fair enough. I'm always just selfish with these things and look for the best possible atmosphere/day out.
Dan Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 At home to either Newcastle or West Ham. A big club in a bit of disarray (though that could change) who are beatable. I'll be gutted if it's Chelsea or Man City away. Our big return and I probably won't even go on principle.
Harry - LCFC Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 I desperately want it to be a home fixture and the easier the better for me. A good start could be pivotal imo I agree. As nice as it would be to have a few big fixtures what I really want is points on the board early. Slow starts can be very damaging to clubs in our position.
Monsell1976 Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 Any away game as I'm out in Spain when the first game is on
Aus Fox Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 Away to Sunderland so Wickham can get his goal against us and be done with it early doors.
xHamzah Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 It'll be a nice sunny day (hopefully), so Stoke away please.
foxfanazer Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 Yea, completely fair enough. I'm always just selfish with these things and look for the best possible atmosphere/day out.I'm such a worrier I hardly ever enjoy the atmosphere
cc_star Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 An 'easier' one to start with, followed immediately by one of the big 4
Captain... Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 I would be happy with getting one of the big games out the way first and settle a few nerves, away to Chelsea/Man City/Liverpool/Arsenal even if we get dicked on, it doesn't matter, we don't expect to get anything from those games, and it will be a wake up call that we are in the big leagues now. Any small issues will be exposed and amplified so they can be worked on immediately, but facing up to some of the best and realising that we can compete, that they aren't supermen and hopefully we will have good spells in the game. For the likes of Mahrez and Vardy it would be great for them to see they can skin some of the best defenders in the country, that DD and James can run the midfield for periods against the best clubs, Moore and RDL can tackle the best attackers. If we perform well, even in defeat, it will give us confidence going forward, we may even catch them cold a get a point, then the second match a home game to one of the lower sides we hope to beat.
LESTA-JESTA Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 All Saints at home looks like their going to be robbed of a few stars a new manager, not a bad set of supporters either should e a good atmosphere .
crisp monster Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 I'm on holiday for the 1st weekend so hope it's away - Burnley would do
Basingstoke Fox Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 A mediocre club at home. Perhaps Sunderland or West Brom. The fact that it's the first game will generate enough interest, we don't need it to be a big club or one of the more interesting games (Villa/Stoke) straight away.
LCFC Rennie Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 Villa away is looking very popular, I'd like Sunderland away, don't know why.
Big_Nige Posted 28 May 2014 Posted 28 May 2014 Villa home. Nice welcome back to the prem, but a very winnable fixture.
