He needed subbing, especially against Uruguay. God knows why no-one man-marked Pirlo. Baines looked a shadow of the player he can be. The list goes on to be honest. I'd be surprised if Italy progress any further. Uruguay might do. I think both were there to be beaten this year. i give you baines he didnt have a good tournament. but pirlo do you not think other teams have tried to man mark him and he can still manages to escape. i applaud roy for having the balls to try to be attacking and attempt to force our play onto others rather than let us be dictated to
StanSP Posted 24 June 2014 Posted 24 June 2014 Midfield has been average in my eyes. Lampard has improved as the half went on but WIlshere hasn't done anything to impress me this tournament. Barkley is trying to do too much and Lallana hasn't done much either.

Nah we lost to Italy because we always struggle against a side that see's more than the ball than us, and whilst we played well it's hard to claim we were better than them, probably likewise and a draw was a fair result but our defence let us down for the second whilst there's remained typically difficult to break down. Uruguay was just a demonstration of what a World Class Strike force can do for you, and we don't have one. If you only need two chances to score two goals you'll always do well in a game. This, I'd rather not comment on to be honest.
