davieG Posted 21 June 2014 Posted 21 June 2014 Time to drop the old uns and give an all young team some World Cup experience or does that risk demoralising them if they get smacked.
Unabomber Posted 21 June 2014 Posted 21 June 2014 Roy can do what he wants as far as I'm concerned he's already ****ed it.
Jimothy Posted 21 June 2014 Posted 21 June 2014 Yeah play the kids. Shaw, Wilshere, Barkley, the Ox (if fit). Shame Flanagan and Stone aren't in the squad.
davieG Posted 21 June 2014 Author Posted 21 June 2014 Roy can do what he wants as far as I'm concerned he's already ****ed it. Maybe but I doubt he'll be the manager in 2018.
Samilktray Posted 21 June 2014 Posted 21 June 2014 Fully expecting us to put about 4 past these. 2 games too late.
Guest kristianity77 Posted 21 June 2014 Posted 21 June 2014 This is a game where ill check out the lineups and if Roy starts with the same that has tried and failed miserably I probably wont even bother to watch. But if he ditches the rubbish and gives the young ones a full chance from the start ill tune in and hope to see them give a much better showing. Although looking at the Fifa rankings it does appear that finally England are going to drop to a much more realistic position next time they are released. We might well drop down to 865 points if we lose to Costa Rica. And with teams below us all doing well so far, we could be down in the mid 20s.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 21 June 2014 Posted 21 June 2014 Just want us to win really, make sure we don't finish bottom, want to finish above either Italy or Uruguay ...
RowlattsFox Posted 21 June 2014 Posted 21 June 2014 Foster Smalling Cahill Jones Shaw Lampard Wilshere Ox Barkley Lallana Lambert If he wants to involve all outfield players then Milner at right back. Lampard to captain his last international.
ousefox Posted 21 June 2014 Posted 21 June 2014 Think the Italy - Uruguay game will be worth watching a lot more than another England friendly.
purpleronnie Posted 21 June 2014 Posted 21 June 2014 Now that nothing is to play for we'll probably beat them.
Matt Posted 21 June 2014 Posted 21 June 2014 Doubt i'll watch tbh. I'm certainly making to no effort to watch it, if I can catch abit of it I will but not finishing work early and got things to do after work - Why lose money to watch the wankers? I kinda hope we do finish bottom with 0 points, just incase the debacle hasn't given them a wake up call already. I've been really positive, and supportive going into this tournament, with the knowledge we wouldn't win it, we probably wouldn't even get that far but I expected better than this, I can only defend them so much.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 21 June 2014 Posted 21 June 2014 Think the Italy - Uruguay game will be worth watching a lot more than another England friendly. A little more than a friendly, Costa Rica have something to play for. They will want to make sure they finish top. Could make the semis if they managed that
Guest ttfn Posted 21 June 2014 Posted 21 June 2014 Foster Smalling Cahill Jones Shaw Lampard Wilshere Ox Barkley Lallana Lambert If he wants to involve all outfield players then Milner at right back. Lampard to captain his last international. Swap Smalling and Jones around otherwise I agree.
RowlattsFox Posted 21 June 2014 Posted 21 June 2014 Swap Smalling and Jones around otherwise I agree. I think jones is the best bet for centre back in the future so he should play there. Regardless of how Shit smalling is at right back.
Guest ttfn Posted 21 June 2014 Posted 21 June 2014 I think jones is the best bet for centre back in the future so he should play there. Regardless of how Shit smalling is at right back. I think that is a fair point but Smalling is a hilariously poor right back.
LCFC FOX Posted 21 June 2014 Posted 21 June 2014 Forster Smalling Cahill Jones Shaw Lampard © (his last ever England cap) Wilshere Barkley Rooney Lallana Lambert Hopefully in the future we have OX, Townsend and Walcott back. I just think we need a world class CB to come through as well in time for the next WC. Here's hoping Liam Moore stands out in the prem.
MooseBreath Posted 21 June 2014 Posted 21 June 2014 Since I've already done the groundwork required to leave work early I think I'm going to go for a round of golf instead. Can actually see a shackleless England putting in a frustratingly good performance and I don't think I really want to see it.
The Doctor Posted 21 June 2014 Posted 21 June 2014 Costa Rica to win 2-1 and face Ivory Coast in the round of 16, dicking them and facing off against the Dutch in the quarters.
Guest Posted 21 June 2014 Posted 21 June 2014 Hopefully they drop Rooney. Him and Baines were the only real failures (maybe the goalie too). Rooney is just so overrated. Sterling looks a star.
Bryn Posted 21 June 2014 Posted 21 June 2014 A little more than a friendly, Costa Rica have something to play for. They will want to make sure they finish top. Could make the semis if they managed that They already have, can't be surpassed because of head to head.
Webbo Posted 21 June 2014 Posted 21 June 2014 Hopefully they drop Rooney. Him and Baines were the only real failures (maybe the goalie too). Rooney is just so overrated. Sterling looks a star. Sterling was piss poor against Uruguay and the stick against Rooney is vastly overdone.
StanSP Posted 21 June 2014 Posted 21 June 2014 Forster Milner - Cahill - Jagielka - Shaw Wilshere - Henderson Oxlade - Barkley- Sterling Lambert What harm can it do?!
ScouseFox Posted 21 June 2014 Posted 21 June 2014 well the harm it could do is turning us finishing 3rd/4th in a tough group but playing alright and going home into us being completely embarrassed. play our best team and win.
Beliall Posted 21 June 2014 Posted 21 June 2014 pretty much the team we should have played the whole time
