justfoxes Posted 28 June 2014 Posted 28 June 2014 Certainly a good read about Leicester's chances in the premier league ! http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/news/features/talking-tactics-leicester-city-have-cause-for-barclays-premier-league-optimism.html
foxfanazer Posted 28 June 2014 Posted 28 June 2014 Good read. Not so sure that Knocky has pace in abundance though
Tom's Pasta Posted 28 June 2014 Posted 28 June 2014 Fair assessment I think. Only time will tell if our style will be effective in the Premier League or not, he's certainly right about needing to add quality though and that will be a big deciding factor.
theessexfox Posted 28 June 2014 Posted 28 June 2014 Part of our formula not covered is our experienced heads around - Phillips, Was, now Upson, etc. Anyone agree with him that Upson and Morgan will be our likely centre-half partnership?

I'd be a little worried if it was to be honest. Would love to see Moore get a proper chance
ealingfox Posted 28 June 2014 Posted 28 June 2014 'Nobody in the division hit fewer long balls than the Foxes, whose aim is to control possession inside the opposition half, and probe patiently until an opportunity to be incisive presents itself. Last season, no one in the division spent more time with the ball at their feet inside a rival team’s half than the 32% enjoyed by Leicester.'
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 28 June 2014 Posted 28 June 2014 Good read, and a pretty fair assessment. I worry at the Konchesky/Schlupp part of the line up though. Hopefully Pearson will bring in a quality player for this role.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 28 June 2014 Posted 28 June 2014 so much for the long ball team, that some idiots like Watford fans, tried to make us out to be...
lgfualol Posted 28 June 2014 Posted 28 June 2014 I bet Konchesky is responsible for 90% of our long balls last season, he enjoys the ol' boot to other team.
The Doctor Posted 28 June 2014 Posted 28 June 2014 so much for the long ball team, that some idiots like Watford fans, tried to make us out to be... That was my immediate response. Where are benditlikevydra and his ilk now anyway?

CPW22 Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 Good read, I can't help but feel overly excited that people care who Leicester City are again!
leicsmac Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 Neat article. The only thing I'd disagree with is their assumption of Upson being an automatic first choice to partner Wes at centre back.
Manwell Pablo Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 If we start with a back four of Konchesky Upson Morgan and Da Laet I'll be very concerned. We need to buy a left back and Play Liam Moore. Midfield is less of a problem and good top level striker would be nice

I'd have Was in for Moore against certain opposition (ones that can be riled by Was's special brand of Dark Arts) though.
Silverdaz Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 I think the report is right more than likely be Morgan and Upson and the back which you have someone who reads the game very well(Morgan) and someone who is very good in the air (Upson)

Babylon Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 Till we get done by a through ball and they both look like this trying to get back. People said the same thing when we signed Morgan a couple of years ago and he's been absolutely fine, similarly Upson seems to have been fine at Brighton considering both of their defensive records. Yes we might get caught out now and again, but will their other strengths out way that problem as it has in the champ?

Norra chance, not playing together anyway. Can't have them pair as a Premiership centre back pairing, not a succesful one anyway. Moore all day long for me.
Stadt Posted 30 June 2014 Posted 30 June 2014 They'll only get caught out if we play a high line and I can't see us doing that for most games, I reckon we'll play deep which will allow space for Vardy to run into.
