France vs. Germany

Heard yesterday on the radio that quite a few Germans have come down with a flu type bug. Dunno if there's much substance to the story.

My money is, for the first time, going against the odds. France.

Am i right in thinking the 2 winners tonight face each other in the semis? If so i fancy Germany to win tonight and lose in the semis to colombia

Yes, you're right. And I hope your prediction is right too. And your avatar is :nigel:

lol lol Alex you seriously over estimate the readership of this forum.

"Baudrillard gathers it".

It's just brilliant. Insider knowledge and all.

It did make me laugh but I also giggled at the idea of kingfox and Leicesterpool staring at that confused.

****ing 5pm kickoffs, what's that all about.

I heard the Germany team has been hit with the flu.

2-1 AET to Le Frankreich

Unfortunate, Although I'd wager it's more like they're all bolloxed after all of those early kicks in the north during the groups myself, not to mention a tough ET game against Algeria.

Had them to go out in the Quarters from the start for that very reason and the way the French have played so far I think they'll win, if they can turn it on like they did against the Swiss it could be surprisingly comfortable for them.

Thank god this will be the last first half I miss.

Lawrenson - "The French are just retreating at the moment"

Sly dig on the old national stereotype methinks

I wonder what odds on Lawro saying something about Germans leaving their towels on the bench next.

So it's the best quarter final of the four and BBC pick Jonathan Pearce. Jeez.

Brazil Colombia looks a much better prospect to me. This will just be a typical case of Germany having "the knack" of edging through.
