Babylon Posted 18 February 2015 Posted 18 February 2015 Was in Paris last week. We'd just arrived and we went to jump on the metro, the doors slammed shut before I made it on though.... problem was, the Mrs had made it. She vanished off down the metro tunnel all on her own without a map, tickets, cash or having a clue where she was or where the hotel was.

I'm trying to imagine the trouble I would be in with Mrs Vac if I did that, and it makes me shudder....
Babylon Posted 18 February 2015 Posted 18 February 2015 I'm trying to imagine the trouble I would be in with Mrs Vac if I did that, and it makes me shudder.... I found her... that's the main thing. She was sat crying her eyes out though, I've managed to spin it into being her fault and I'm the hero for tracking her down. Worst thing about it was that I was running down the platform shouting her to get off the the stop we needed. So there's me running down the platform shouting "Invalies, Invalides, bloody Invalides". Get to the end of the platform and there's a disabled school kids day out. One can only imagine what they thought of me. It's like a bloody Python sketch or something.

Guest MattP Posted 18 February 2015 Posted 18 February 2015 It's pretty sad that the quality of the top European sides is now so far ahead of the rest some Champions League knockout games have become non-events. Schalke could play Real 100 times over 2 legs and I don't think they would go through once.
zak_lcfc Posted 18 February 2015 Posted 18 February 2015 Thought Schalke gave it a good go, could have scored but the quality of Madrid was there to see! The saddest thing for me is that the teams that go about it the right way e.g. Schalke, Dortmund and to an extent Atletico suffer because the financial power they have is overshadowed by the 'Giants' and so they can never build on what they have because their can't compete to keep hold of their promising players, look at Draxler he's already on the radar of loads of clubs, it's a shame that when a team promises to challenge the biggest clubs they get raided and knocked down again, I hope Atletico go far again this year
Dan Posted 19 February 2015 Posted 19 February 2015 I literally don't think there's a single thing to like about Chelsea. Vermin club.

Leicesterpool Posted 24 February 2015 Posted 24 February 2015 I can see Man City winning tonight 4-2 i think.
Unabomber Posted 24 February 2015 Posted 24 February 2015 I can see Man City winning tonight 4-2 i think.Same. Milner hat trick, then maybe a Clichy worldie?
purpleronnie Posted 24 February 2015 Posted 24 February 2015 I can see Man City winning tonight 4-2 i think. 13/5 to win tonight, crazy odds.
AKCJ Posted 24 February 2015 Posted 24 February 2015 Looking forward to it, which is the first time i've said that about a non-Classico Barca game for ages. Neymar and Zabaleta to bag, 1-1.
AKCJ Posted 24 February 2015 Posted 24 February 2015 Mark Pougatch is a massive improvement on old Adrian Chiles, but who made the decision to hire Paul Scholes? A man famous for not having a personality.
AKCJ Posted 24 February 2015 Posted 24 February 2015 City won't do anything with two strikers in Europe. No idea why Pellegrini thought it'd be a good idea to stop Iniesta, Busquets and Rakitic with Fernando and Milner.
ScouseFox Posted 24 February 2015 Posted 24 February 2015 Oh wow no Andy Townsend niiiiice. got a feeling city are getting twatted today like
AKCJ Posted 24 February 2015 Posted 24 February 2015 I never felt more like singing the blues when Chiles is sacked and Townsend has the flu. Oh ITV, you got me singing the blues.
