Very credible source

As much as I'd like Cambiasso to sign. I can't help thinking he's being used as a smoke screen and we will unveil 2 new signings imminently that have flown under the radar.

Seems a bit farfetched. I'm not sure Nigel, Terry and the owners sat down together and decided that trolling the entire Leicester City fanbase would be a swell idea.

I've been speaking to my contact within the club and he said there is a definite possibility that this may or may not be happening and that that it might be completed very soon or it might take a bit longer (maybe a lot longer) - that's if he signs at all because he might be interested but then he might not actually be. He also has some reservations about sending his kids to New College.

Don't want to come across as ITK, just telling you what my possibly imaginary source has been told by Top himself.

Looks doubtful.

'When asked about possible arrivals before tomorrow, Pearson said: "Not as far as I know".'

Classic Nige. The old "nothing's happening" before unveiling 5 new players to throw those balloonheads off the scent.

Really? 96 pages of this drivel and this is still supposed to be funny?

I've said before we should hijack the Carlos Sanchez move while it seems to be in similar limbo with the deal with Villa

worst case scenario we end up with 2 DMCs that played in the world cup (or best case scenario I guess)

Meanwhile, Pearson said striker Chris Wood wanted to stay at the club and fight for his place in the team.

Wolves manager Kenny Jackett has publicly confirmed they tried to sign the New Zealand international and were close to agreeing a deal.

The move did not happen, mainly because Wood said he did not want to leave City, but also because the two clubs could not agree over the structure of the deal.

"I spoke with Chris early in the week and he is more than happy being at the football club and fighting for his place," said Pearson.

"We don't really need to say anything further.

"This is the type of story that has gathered speed. We are very clear where we are both at. He will be in the squad for tomorrow.

"That's all I'm prepared to say at the moment. He will categorically be in the squad at the weekend."

Anybody think he's play against Everton and try to prove himself there?

I read and posted earlier in the week that the ball is in EC's court - he's been made an offer but wanted more. It is my understanding the club are attempting to meet him half way as they don't see him as money grabbing as his wages have been considerably larger than the original offering for the past decade. I'm hoping they find a number and agree on it but I expect him to be far and away the highest paid player at the club.
