I can actually see it happening. If it were to happen I think I'd want it to be him more than anyone else.

What a story that would be. A thunderbolt in the 90th minute at Stamford Bridge to seal Chelseas relegation and Leicester lifting the trophy.

Imagine Kingy scoring the goal to win us the league...

he's scored in basically every big game we've had since he started regularly playing about 8 years ago. if anyone's winning us the league it's kingy.

When King came on you knew what you were going to get. A player who just slots in, with no moaning or complaining. And that he give his all, as he does in every game.

For me, Drinkwater this season has been nothing short of sensational, so will be missed for the time he's injured. But King will continue to do the job he's always done. I see him as a club legend personally.

I'm not drinkys biggest fan and love kingy.

But I thought when drinky went off, King was excellent off the ball, covering and tracking but poor in possession. We missed drinky trying to create things.

When they went 3 at the back I would have been tempted to move mahrez in the hole and put dyer out wide (assuming he was on the bench) leaving king and Kante to work in front of the back 4.

Kingy never does much wrong for me, but drinky has been in such good form this season we will miss him if he's out for a few weeks.

What a fookin hero.. immense today..

Really?

Yeah wasn't too impressed, he didn't particularly do anything massively wrong, but he didn't contribute much in driving the team forward quickly.

Props for getting back on the line and stopping Barkleys shot though, even though he was unlucky that it fell to Lukaku

Yes he is being serious. What's your problem?

Quite aggressive!

I tend to agree with the last 2 posters that he was okay but no great shakes. A fair replacement but glad we have Drinky.

no credit again for the lad..ha ha ha.. clueless

He wasn't clueless. He played pretty well.

Today was the most I've seen King involved in a match, did what was needed in our toughest away game so far.....

Up the City......

He did his job in the midfield today really well; he just doesn't have the passing ability of Drinkwater.

I presume you mean long passes because his pass accuracy is as good as anyone.

It's time Kingy got some proper respect. Alongside others he was a giant today. I remember people saying he couldn't cope with this, that and especially The Premiership.

But it was as much his return to the side as anything which gave momentum to our recovery last season and he's just played a solidly significant part in collecting 10  points out of 12 from a run of games against quality opposition that some thought we'd hardly get anything from.

Even I'd have been half pleased with a draw today but to win and score three was marvellous. And Kingy played as good a part as most and in lots of ways.

,I love dd and kingy, but drinky doesn't have the ability to be a natural goalscorer who makes those runs into box to score ( like lampard), some King's finishes exquisite!

Sweeped up very well today.

Imagine if we won the league. Would he be the first player to win the 3rd, 2nd and 1st division with the same club?

Giant. You're having a laugh. He made a couple of tackles and won the odd header, apart from that all he did was confuse kante. Even his chant only lasted one verse.
