MooseBreath Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 I guess I must not have been watching closely enough today because the only thing "giant" about his performance was his ability to slow down and nullify the threat of our own counter attack. The two moments I most readily recall are his awful throughball in the first half when it would have been easier to find a Leicester shirt and his pitiful shot in the 2nd when Mahrez was in acres of space for what would most likely have been a goal. Other than that he ticked over nicely enough but with nothing like the commanding presence we've come to expect from Drinkwater and that we need when we're lining up in an attacking 442 away from home. He gets a solid 6 from me and no more.
Stan Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Quite aggressive! I tend to agree with the last 2 posters that he was okay but no great shakes. A fair replacement but glad we have Drinky. Ha ha - apologies there.I didn't mean 'what's your problem? 'in the 'do you want some?' mode!
ARTY_FOX Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Guys an absolute legend. Proves it everytime he steps foot on a pitch in a Leicester kit.
VLC86 Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Sweeped up very well today. Imagine if we won the league. Would he be the first player to win the 3rd, 2nd and 1st division with the same club? Undoubtedly i would imagine, thats how ****ed up this all is .
Bamba's Babes Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Played well but needs a change of mindset, passing forward is expected from our CMs now, too often King wants to take the safe pass. Played well though.
fleckneymike Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Kings 'stats' Made the most interceptions by any City player (7), made the most passes (39), third highest passing accuracy, fourth most clearances (first amongst attackers), fourth most tackles (equal with Kante and fist amogst attackers). Not bad all things considered.
ajthefox Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 I think he was very good defensively and made some important contributions, but going forward and applying pressure I feel we missed Drinky a little. A solid 7.
ARM1968 Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Thought the lad played well. Did what was needed.
Wymsey Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 He can be a ghost at times, like Albrighton and Schlupp, but he can prove to be very effective in certain situations.

But, just like with party politics, some people won't want to let the facts get in the way of their prejudices. And you could say the same about some on here with Okazaki. I don't understand why some can't give credit when due, to a player from their own club! Well done Kingy, great to have you in the squad.
Socks Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Love Kingy, just as effective as Drinky today, well played Andy
chapero82 Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 he did really well just a bit rusty in areas e.g could have passed to Riyad instead of shooting but we must remember he hasn't had many games
Guest Col city fan Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Having just gone to Everton and won, with a team devoid of both Huth and Drinkwater, I'm amazed anyone is giving anything other than immense praise for all of our players. Including King. Then again..on here, no I'm not that surprised.
Len Finsbury Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 He's probably going to get pushed aside when Drinky's back but King hasn't had the benefit of playing in this team during the rise, unlike Drinkwater. If he has a few more games, I'm sure he'd only improve.
johnny the fox Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 Really? http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2015/12/22/claudio-ranieri-praises-leicester-citys-andy-king-and-provides-d/? That is all...

dannythefox Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 kingy is top draw he never lets the team down there's not many players who you can say that about.
pazzerfox Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 I hear Andy King does a lot inside the club also. He is Leicester through and through and is a big part of setting a good example and helping new signings settle in etc. Good ambassador for the club.
Corky Posted 22 December 2015 Posted 22 December 2015 The club seem to put him forward for a lot of community events and we've never heard even a whisper that he's any trouble or difficult to manage.
